Not inspired but adds to this demona-silverwing.tumblr.com/p⦠post on tumblr.I sketched this ages ago, but just coloured it now. It was a fun idea, not something I actually think will happen. But with Hunkle Stan, you never know.

I liked Stan being passive. Ford built the portal and caused Weirdmaggedon so why does he not solve it?

Stan did use the portal to bring Ford back and unintentionally created the rift in the process. Also, Ford did everything he could to stop Weirdmaggedon from happening and tried to Kill Bill before being captured.

Ford summoned Bill, made a pact with him and built the portal. He had numerous opportunities to dismantle the device but refused because it was his life's work. Ford had to fix problems he caused and his efforts against Bill were futile.

I also agree with that Tumblr's post - Ford may seems badass at first, to be next some damsel in distress. When Stan makes stupid things, to next show how great he is in badass rescuing people (and pig

Stan stated that Mabel and Dipper are his only family. Ford should save himself since he helped Bill bring hell to Earth.

Why are you so critical of Ford? I mean, I know he's made several really, really, really-really, REEEEEALY stupid mistakes, and he hasn't exactly been the best brother or grunkle, but COME ON!! It's not like he intended for all this to happen, and he IS trying to solve things and do the right thing in his own naive way, but the fact of the matter is that he CAN'T save himself at the moment. And by the way - using Stan's declaration of disappointment as an excuse for him to act against his nature doesn't work. As I previously stated, and as has been demonstrated on numerous occasions during the show, Stan loves Ford, and despite what he may have done in the past he would never, EVER, flat-out abandon him. It just wouldn't be Stan. And besides, they need to get Ford back in order to defeat Bill and set everything right - Ford is the only one who knows Bill's weakness, and somehow, I doubt that that weakness is the power of friendship.

Ford disregards his own mistakes or anybody who tells him he is wrong but gets angry when anybody else messes up something he is doing. He is angry at Stan for using the portal but lies about the fact that he built it for Bill in the first place. Ford considers Stan's efforts to be worthless but it takes Bill reminding him that he is responsible for the Apocalypse since he built the portal and none of his inventions have benefited humans just put them in danger.
