You've finally stumbled upon the letter hidden in the casing of your pillow. I'll bet your feeling excited. I can see you grinning. Feel your excitement. Just writing this I feel the exact same way. That's because I'm you and I know how you work.. let me explain.

I am writing you this from the future. Hard to believe I know, but you can trust me. How else would I know about the little memory box you hid beneath the roots of the gum tree out in the paddock if I wasn't? There are a few things I'd like to prepare you for...

Firstly, this year will undoubtedly be one of the biggest of you life. It's just first year at boarding school away from home, and understandably you're nervous as all hell. And that's okay, but don't like your shyness overrule you. Be brave, have confidence. Talk with the other girls, spend time just chatting. Don't conceal yourself in your room. You'll only come to regret it later on.

In the first few weeks you'll be swept off your feet by the thrill of it all. But its important to keep in contact with those you love.. a year from now your no longer friends with your best friend. You haven't seen each other in months let alone spoken. Looking back I can't decide if this is a good or bad thing. Having experienced only the one side of it, I don't know what your life would be like hadyou remained in contact. So it's up to you. Should you decide to take the road that became the one I have taken don't let it bring you down. You must be confident with your decision, just do it and don't look back.. it will only cause you pain if you do..

Don't worry about your first term room mate. You'll get along in the end.. she'll play her music loud at night but don't bother going down to the office to ask for earplugs. They won't have any.

School will be hard for the first term. But you're expecting it. Don't be too disappointed in English. Your teachers a bitch but that's okay. Just let her believe you love her and you'll make the model student. Remember to not get too cocky about your Critical Readings. You'll get 97% for one, but the next will only just be a pass. Remember to think more about what you write. Your dance teacher, will give you terrible marks for both Semesters but you will develop so much as a dancer, but more importantly as a person. You're confidence in your self will flourish, as will your ability to handle difficult situations.

Don't be such a bitch to your father. Be more grateful.

Study hard, but take the time to relax. Yes, work is important but so is time off. You work way too hard my dear, and you stress yourself out over things that don't matter. In some cases its needed, but in others... you need to step back and think about the situation. Is it really worth loosing sleep?

On muck up day, have fun throwing water over Brydee, but do not chase Sophie. She seems sweet and innocent, but deep down there's something else... joking. But really don't chase her. It will only result in an enormous bruise on your face the size of a small country. And boy will it hurt.

During your exams remember Newtons Third Law is Action Reaction.

A girl in the boarding house will develop and obsession over lessening her eating and exercising. She'll always compare herself to what you look like, and long to be just like you. Don't let her personality effect you, simply remove yourself from her presence. Or you'll end up with eating issues and a horrible body image even though you are perfect how you are.

Lastly, please- to save yourself some trouble, don't hook up with that boy Hannah introduces you too at the social. You might feel pressured by the other girls but do NOT do it... just don't..

I'd love to tell you everything, but that would ruin it. So have fun experiencing life, and remember you are beautiful as you. Don't let anyone bring you down.
