Paper Mario sprites for Skipsqueak, a rat enemy from Super Mario 3D World on Wii U and the upcoming Bowser’s Fury port on Nintendo Switch. Also included is Spiked Skipsqueak.

Look at these simple mice dashing around. They just keep running everywhere, from fields, to oceans, to treadmills, election campaigns, and other crazy places. Do they run for some phantom promise of peanut butter, in fear of an unseen threat, or just because?

Both Skipsqueaks’ only other appearance is Super Mario Maker 2, as possible enemy assets in the special 3D World gamestyle. They have not appeared in Paper Mario yet, despite them being useable under the restricted ruleset.

UPDATE: Fixed an issue with the area around the eyes. Reposed everything.
