Helene doesn't seem to have much luck with her friends. Some time ago she tried (in vain) to catch the falling Isolde - resulting in a broken shoulder for herself. During a walk in the park she met Fabienne, who she knew from university but hadn't seen in years. Minutes after they met, Fabienne tripped over some protruding roots, and pulled Helene down with her. While Fabienne broke her hip, Helene strained her neck and the two women quickly bonded over their common misfortune .
Recently Fabienne recklessly decided to give up her wheelchair , despite her broken hip and Helene’s disapproval. It came as it had to come, and the good-natured Helene had to catch the falling Fabienne. In the process, she re-broke her already injured shoulder. As a result, they had to completely reset her broken bones, resulting in an even bigger cast.

After that, she decided to take some distance from Fabienne and spend a little more time with Vera - who she knew to be a little more cautious.

Vera's situation in the meantime has still not changed for the better. Although she was as careful as one could be, her toes just would not heal properly and she was still stuck in her bulky SOMI brace . Due to the constant pressure exercised by her brace, additional orthodontics where required to keep her teeth and jaw in place. There was also no real improvement in sight as her doctors were quite unsure of her condition. On top of that, she was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands. Since the hospital had no more wrist braces in stock on the day of the diagnosis, she was instead treated with two short arm casts.

She would love to help Helene with her hair, but knows that despite the two casts she would feel a tingling numbness in her hands if she uses them too much throughout the day.
