Description
I am struggling between realism and abstract human forms. As much as I try either one, I can't seem to make completely realistic or completely abstract shapes. Maybe this struggle will turn out to be my 'style', but right now it's just frustrating.Related content

This happen to all of us. That mean we need a change,
Take your time, don't try to finish quickly, start a piece today, tomorrow continue, and next day finish it or maybe will need more time, who knows.
See information about how the light interact with the different forms and how the colors change it. ( Optical illusions is what we are trying to do, not science). In my post I put a video that talk about that. ( You have to see it!)
Better if you have a real image like reference
When you paint, paint the whole picture with the background included, choosing one color for each object ( squint your eye and choose the color you see), then, when you have all the colors put it in place you'll see what colors need to be changed and where it need more colors, and go on this till finish it. Better if you have both images by side when you are doing this. After the first layer you have to stand up and do something else (5, 10 or more minutes. ), next time you see it, you realize what need to be fixed it.
Hope this help.
This and all your drawing are beautiful.

I also think that this HAS to be your style one day. For me it looks really realistic, although her eyes seem to are a little bit bigger than they really would be- but exactly this makes her really beautiful. Also I admire how you put on lights on her lips, eyes and nose and the shading of her face really looks great. Although it is frustrating for you I hope you keep up with this style!

Hahaha... Thank you for the kind words. I think you might be onto something. Other artists say that you get inspired by other people's style, you learn their techniques gradually and you incorporate them into a unique new combination that is only yours. I hope they and you are right about this.

I absolutely think so
I yet have to find my very own style and I think, this will take a while. Iam also not satisfied with some things yet, but I think this is exactly the way it should be! Humans can`t stand still and have always to seek for perfection xD
