Hahaha... yeah, my mind has a way of imagining such disturbing images...

It's always good when our darker side can flower through us into something rich that other people can think with, if that makes any sense. And to make such beauty from it is a gift.

Thank you! I hoped to evoke these feelings... and maybe a bit of terror.

Yep, that definitely, too! At least it is a very creepy imagination.

wow! what a strange feeling this evokes - on the one hand it is beautiful, and yet also sad...
and the other hand it is terrifying to imagine in reality.
a powerfully evocative artwork.

Yeah... and the thing that makes me like it is the fact that I don't have an explanation for this drawing.

sometimes the best works are the ones that make us question ourselves, our values, or completely bowl us over with their sudden departure from what we are used to. you could be a comfortable portrait artist for years, and then one day you draw a dragon and everything changes.
I personally have pretty much had to force myself back into drawing recently after a sever back injury. it left me completely dispassionate about art, and i didnt really draw much of anything for nearly a year. which is odd because i take my art very seriously. its a way of getting out emotions and making my own world... but after that i couldnt bring myself to want to do it.
sometimes works will take us by surprise.
sometimes we will look back on a piece we did years ago and suddenly think about how we were a different person when we drew them... and then of course there are those pieces, like this one, that seem to come from out of nowhere. its like we are merely vessels for the art to flow through. those are usually my favourite pieces, because they say something deeper than the others, even if we cannot tell what it is ourselves.
very well done my friend.
hope you have a wonderful day!

Reading what you wrote I must agree to most of it. Isn't it funny how sometimes, looking at a drawing, you can remember exactly where and when you were while drawing it? Sometimes it's better than keeping a journal.
