Description

Coverage: Using assets designed for the Unity game development platform in Daz. The workflow is also applicable to Poser, but you will need to know how to import OBJs, set materials, and save to CR2 as these Poser steps are not covered.

Software: DAZ Studio 4.6 Pro (principles applicable to other 3D programs), Unity (free), Photoshop or similar in some cases.

Target Audience: Intermediate Daz user.

That's interesting!  I use obj files all the time.  Poser can import 3DS, Lightwave, dfx and wavefront obj.  (and all I know of that means if I find something I like in obj format, I put it in my obj file and just import it from there and voila!. Voodoo at its finest.)

It's awesome, isn't it? Unity has a couple of quirks (the sizing one and the fact that you have to do a little scripting magic to get the OBJ out) but it's still pretty nifty, and not too hard to work around either. And they're an odd mix of unusual quirky things and streamlined simple things, too.
