Using a shard of broken window she cuts the butterfly from her dress, giving it the life and freedom she could only dream of...Been working on this one for a while... I quite like how it turned out mostly. I know the BG perspective is off because while I was drawing it I taught myself proper 1 point, hopefully I can implement that better in another picture. It was really fun playing with lighting and making the character lit with the secondary light which has bounced up off the floor from the window stream.

To be truly free, you must see that you are free to begin with, and that your image of captivity is only a creation of your own mind!
If you look at the picture and imagine the "hole" in her dress as the shadow of the butterfly, you notice that the girl herself has no shadow, indicating that she isn't real, yet the butterfly is!

free...that is something that we need to find in our heart...with heart nobody can, as much as we have always gets broken heal and become increasingly strong. although sometimes this might hurt us, because it makes the heart is closed to certain things, but someday reopen to show more powerful and deliver all, strong and careful, gentle and loving. feel deep feel
