"Hope."
In a future where there seems to be none left, a young girl discovers the importance of hope and how something small can make a difference.

Hi guys! Here's the flash comic about the story for my school project!
This flash comic is intended to spread awareness about our environment, and that we humans are harming it, in a way that children as well could understand, which is inspired by ROTG and yuumei .

Beautiful and inspiring. Definitely makes you think and consider what path our earth is on. The only thing that really kind of threw me off was that the daughter called her mother 'mommy' and the way her mother talks to her. The dynamic between them seems like it should be one between a mother and a younger child rather than the older child/teen it looks like you drew her as.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you're able to grasp the concept of it ><
Ah.. right, I was actually planning for it to be the grandmother and the child, but I really struggle with drawing people with a large age gap (I do better with people in their teens to mid twenties ><) But thanks for the comment!Β

This story is incredibly moving. At first, I thought that the girl had just been blind, and didn't know what a tree was for she had gotten her eyesight via surgery. But this story hit far closer to home, and really showed just what we as humans have been doing to our environment- and its terrible, what it is. This story really shows the truth behind that- and as humans, the hope that we have through our next generations... to perhaps fix it.

Th-thank you so much! Oh, well... that's not really possible either, since she knew that the colour of the tree was green ^^ But that is an interesting idea~ I agree with you, it's absolutely horrible.. we're killing our planet, and the worst part is that we know it. We ARE developing ways to prevent harming it, but it's not as fast as it should be... I'm really glad you can understand! Thank you so much!

I don't know why but the end made me emotional and I almost cried QAQ
The legend of Skye and Gaea was wonderfully thought out. I really loved it.
Though I might have liked to know what happened to Skye, like, what exactly became of him. Did he go hide like Gaea, go on a rampage on earth, kill the bad guy?
Does that make sense? :3
But all in all, becautiful story. It's one of those short stories/oneshots I can/will read over and over and won't get bored of. Or that I want to show my friends and family.

Hehe you're welcome
Well it's also good with the hint of mystery to it.
Hm...well, if you were to continue on his story, juts maybe do a small short of what became of him, and where he went and what happened to that human exactly and that would be pretty good while keeping it short and interesting.
Hehe you're very welcome <3

tadinya bacanya serius tapi langsung ketawa liat senjata yang digunakan sama penjahatnya (tipenya mirip senjata mainan punya ponakan aku). Β tapi yang untuk isi cerita dan gambarnya sudah bagus kok ^^..!!.
Inti ceritanya tentang menjaga lingkungan alam keren ^^

Wow. It's be a crime to get anything less than an A on this haha. I've never heard of a school project being done through deviantart though....
Points of interest:
-The coloring was probably the best part of the comic (aside from the idea) - the spatial relationships of the characters to each other, and especially anatomy, could use some work. Reference photos are always good the use.
-Love how the last frame read right into the first frame. Very effective.Β
-Your use of color with the text was very good and helps the dialogue make sense.
-What was interesting to me was that the sketchy line art + lighting gave the comic an almost dream-like feel in places (since lines weren't really defined. I saw this mostly with the scenes of the mother and daughter). However, in more than one place I felt like the line art detracted from the art. (for example, when Skye and Gaea first look over the Earth). I'd recommend drawing on a large canvas so the line art does not look ms-paint style, and spending as much time on the line work as you do on coloring.
-One thing I found humorous was how the daughter pointed to the "green thing", and the mother apparently couldn't see it even though the trees took up 90% of the frame.
- Also, though the castle is mentioned to be in the sky, they are able to look down on Earth, which would only be done from space (therefore no clouds). Best explanation I'd imagine would be that the two of them are technically in another dimension (or "heaven}, if you will), though that leaves how the human is able to get there an unknown.
-This is minor, but I also just have trouble seeing older kids call their parents "mommy" and "daddy". It has an extreme juvenile feel to it, and I understand its use to highlight how even a young daughter can understand what's wrong, but the daughter just looks too old for those words to feel natural. She nearly looks as old as the mom in some frames.

This is truly scary. Simply because this could happen one day if we do not take care of our planet.
One thing of advice would be the scene changes. I had to click "Next" multiple times to get the scene to transition. It's a bit tedious but the artwork is beautiful nonetheless.

The art was fantabulous. Skye and Gaea are amazing characters even if I don't understand their personalities I fell in love with their appearances right away. The mother telling the story to her daughter was a great idea. This reallyΒ spreads awareness of the problem of global warming and its possible effect in the future (no trees etc.)Β
Keep in mind I'm only 12 years old, english is my second language and I'm not thatΒ fluent so if what I am writing doesn't make sense just ignore it!

AHHHH OMG THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE IT.
On a more serious note, I do truly think that this masterpiece you have created is outstanding. Not only does it raise awareness about our polluted earth (that is being destroyed even more every second), but the artwork itself is breathtaking, to say the least. I absolutely love the shading of the people and the furniture is quite realistic as well. The only thing I have a little teensy weensy problem with is the fact that the mother has green eyes while the daughter has blue eyes. However, I know that the daughter's eye color could be inherited by the father, so don't think too much of this little comment.
This is so beautiful that I can look and interact with it all day

Ahaha, yeah I know about that >< I was planning for the photograph with the trees in the story to be a picture of the girls' parents together when they were young, which is why she kept it in the first place and that the girl looks somewhat like her father owo But I kinda got pressured on time so I didn't finish that little detail hahaa~//shotshot
