Description
A new take on Earth 18's Shadow Siren En-Trance byWhile we both love Dee's original version, times move on and so do the people who create the content for the 3d models Dee uses.
While Dee is committed to trying to move the morphs, or to put it plainer the "faces" of all our V4 characters to later generations of the Genesis base...so far she hasn't had much success.
So here is a completely new build of En-Trance by Dee using Genesis 3 and incorporating some updates to Trance' costume as well.
I would be really interested to here what people think, and if this version of Trance is a version folks would like to see more of.
En-Trance, aka the Shadow Siren is my oc and may not be used without permission
Art by using Daz Studio 4.8 / I-ray with postwork in GIMP and background in Comic Life 3. This En-Trance is based on the G3F figure.
Our thanks go to our friends and whose use of later Genesis figures convinced Dee that maybe change isn't a bad thing

The costume and the body look great, no offense to Dee but I think the face needs a little more work. Of course I'm prejudiced because (a) I'm still devoted to Genesis 2 myself and (b) I'm in virtual lub with the original ET. Maybe try 's suggestion below? I'm going to look into it myself, reluctant as I am to move on. Old dog!

thanks and nada offence taken
The original V4 En-Trance was the first character Dee created for me...and there is just SOMETHING about her, I definitely don't want to let her go if I can help it...so we will be looking for ways to transfer the familiar faces to later Generation figures

She looks great. For action poses, you will be amazed at what she can do as a G3.
The best way to accurately transfer a V4 face to a G3 is to use Darkhound's converter. It's available here on DA for about $25. You could transfer the whole character, but I've found in transferring my G2s, that just the face is best. Bodies are easy to work up, and better in G3 when using the available sculpting systems by Zev0 and Xenix101.
Our mutual statuesque blonde buddy Lady Quantum can tell you more about the Darkhound system than I can. She's the one who told me about it and sonofagun it works!

Yeah a few people have mentioned Darkhound's script plug in....
I actually bought Dee a character converter from the Daz store but we can't get it to work...yet...

If you're talking about GenX2, I couldn't get it to work, either. You have to change the mesh of G3F to either V4 or G2F to get it to work, and that sounds self-defeating. Even doing that, my conversions were meh at best. If I'm going to use an earlier generation's mesh, I'll just stick with the earlier generation. But that's the way my mind works.
Darkhound's system converts an OBJ of the V4 or G2F to G3F. Somehow. He works magic. You import the new OBJ into the G3 just like you would any other single slider morph. That's another reason to convert only the face. I've found that single slider morphs tend to compromise G3's bending, and bending is one of G3's strongest assets.
There will be some difference in the face, simply because the G3 base is shaped different. It shouldn't be as noticeable between V4 and G3 as it is between G2 and G3. But that can be compensated for with G3's basic face shape morphs.
I used Darkhound's system to convert my Ashe Girls from G2 to G3 and I'm happy with how they turned out. I did have to tweak up Katie's face -- G3 is more angular than G2, but some increased roundness took care of that.

We couldn't even get it to export any morphs for some reason. If you got that far you got further than Dee

Whoa. Speculation only -- the creator died early last year. It's possible that it won't work well on newer versions of DAZ Studio. He isn't around to update it. Geez, man. That bites.

Well we are running 4.8
We saw that he had sadly passed away, there is a big long thread in the forums but read it over and over we still couldn't make sense of it.
Dee thinks it is because of the way she loads her stuff up...we have sen mention that certain things need to be in specific folders or it won't work.
We will have to wait for a new rig and a clean install before we know if that fixes the issue.
