Background:
Thalia began her live as Number 7 of 9 test subjects that were bread to wear and operate an alien bodysuit and armor that was found in the 1947 Roswell New Mexico UFO crash. For 6 decades U.S. Government scientists labored to unlock the secrets of bodysuit and armor. It wasn't until a Geneticist by the name of Ronald Raleigh stumbled onto an accidental resequencing that allowed his team to momentarily control the armor.
As Ronald continued to test his findings and make breakthroughs, his progress was being reported to a secret agency of the U.S. Government looking for its next weapons project. The Bureau of Adaptive Alien Technologies for Defense (BAATD) had been spying on his work for years infusing grant money into his project and he neared and achieved breakthroughs in his research. As it became more obvious that his research was about to come to a halt do to laws against growing humans outside the womb, a secret executive order was signed allowing growing of human being when used for programs that would serve to advance Medical Science or Military applications. Given the go ahead for growing the test subjects for testing Ronald was given access to unfertilized human eggs samples collected from various test subjects during routine exams in U.S. Government sponsored clinics.
After selecting eggs from a suitable female sample, Ronald began to splice the human DNA and material found at the crash site. After a number of failures he accidently stumbled onto success when the last group was accidently exposed to ultraviolet radiation. Ronald was able to create 30 samples and after being injected into the harvested human eggs only nine survived to be implanted into growth tubes. After spending six months in the growth tubes the test subjects had grown to an age approximately 3 human years of age and were removed from the tubes and subjected to additional growth treatments as well as flash education regiments that included History, Science, Mathematics and sociology.
The growth treatments were halted when the clones reached a human age of 15 years and individual instruction was instituted with Ronald taking on the training of Number 7 code named Thalia after the muse of comedy. Early on in her training Thalia showed a strong bond with the alien bodysuit and armor which gave her a strong telekinetic ability, however it was determined that her innocent nature made her unfit for stage 4 training and was slated for recycling. Finding this out Ronald hatched a daring plan to save Thalia and prevent the suit from being used as a weapon. Ronald forged a training approval and as the day of her scheduled recycling rapidly approached, Ronald began to pre-stage supplies and documents that they would need to survive once they escaped.
It was during the training session that the recycling team came for Thalia, prepared for this Ronald told her that it was part of the training and she quickly neutralized them as she made what she thought was a simulated escape with Ronald, the man she came to call her father in private. Ronald and Thalia were able to hide for almost a year in which he continued to train her in the use of the suit.
While hiding out in what was to be their final stopping point in Steel City agents of BAATD caught up with Ronald as he was picking up equipment for his new lab. Surrounded and unable to escape his last act before the agents gunned him down was to call Thalia and tell her good bye. Ronald had planned for the day that agents might catch him, his dying act was to launch a logic bomb into the worldwide computer network that sought out and destroyed all existing data of both him and Thalia while at the same time planting new information on a one Thalia Raleigh free lance photo journalist recently relocated to Steel City.

Mannerisms:
Thalia is very much still a young girl which makes her curious and inquisitive, as she continues to grow as a human. Her job as a free lance journalist allows her to travel around and ask questions that would normally cause others to wonder. Although curious she is not very trusting due to her upbringing and teachings by Ronald. She is slowly learning to open up to make friends and acquaintances but she still has a problem with trusting those she meets.

Relationships:
Currently Thalia is not in any kind of relationship and is still rather confused about her feelings when it comes to feeling an attraction to someone. While she is aware of several other heroines operating in the city, Thalia has chosen to keep somewhat of a low profile starting out. She has foiled several bank robberies and rescued other from traffic accidents that would have otherwise been fatal. While covering several crime scenes where the cities heroines were involved, Thalia has considered becoming more involved but is still weary of the attention it would bring her way.

Since her father died Thalia found herself venturing out more and more as a way to learn new things and slowly learn how to interact with other humans. As a free lance photo journalist people didn't question Thalia's questions so much as the expected it as part of her job. The day was cool and crisp as fall was holding on tightly to the city as things began to cool in preparation for winter. Generally she would drive around the city looking for something to shoot or if she found a compelling human interest story to write up. Today, however, she was walking in one of the more rundown areas of the city on assignment from one of the larger newspapers to do a story on the rampant crime and violence in these areas. While interviewing a single mother talking about her fears, a small explosion followed by flames was seen by Thalia coming from the apartment across the street. Slinging her day pack, Thalia runs across the street and does her best to help the people living in the building to escape until the fire department arrived and she slipped back into taking photos and interviewing people. A sudden commotion caused her to look and see two small children trapped in an un-burning portion of the building. Several attempts to save the children from the inside had failed and the fire department had been unable to relocate a ladder truck due to surrounding buildings.
Slipping into the background unnoticed, Thalia floats herself to the roof of a building down the street and removes her shirt, shoes and pants revealing a violet mesh bodysuit, stashing them in her bag she then removed a lightweight flexible armor, tiara, boots and gloves and cape. Slipping into the rest of her outfit and checking to make sure the coast was clear, Thalia stepped out and floated into the air and moved towards the burning building. Utilizing her telekinetic abilities she formed a bubble of cool air around her as she redirected streams of water shooting into the building from the fire hose and w pushed burning rubble out of her path as she advanced towards the trapped children. The apartment was just starting to catch fire and the living room and kitchen were filled with a thick black smoke and was hot as an oven. Following the sound of their screams for help, Thalia opened the door to the kid's room quickly and closed the door to find the room filling quickly with smoke. Without a second thought Thalia scooped up the children and leapt out the window as the children screeched and people below gasped in fear as they jumped out the window. The fear soon turned to elation as Thalia gently lowered them to the ground. Not wanting to be the center of attention, Thalia flew off and after retrieving her street clothes, returned home to a hot bath and a movie with Bugs. It was while watching the news she had been dubbed the Violet Banshee from the sound the children made as she jumped out the window, and the color of her bodysuit. Smiling as she switched over to her DVD player to watch her movie, thinking that she no longer had to worry about her working name.

Thalia's bodysuit is made from an alien cloth that isn't on the periodic chart. The thin mesh like suit is silk like in its texture and stronger than titanium. The mesh suit acts as an enhancer for Thalia's latent telekinetic ability, allowing her to focus it and direct it as needed. The mesh also works as a barrier to protect her from the cold and extreme heat. The armored part of the suit is made of a flexible metal that acts as an antenna to channel radio communications such as police and fire rescue radio bands through the tiara that she wears.
