A new take on Earth 18's Shadow Siren En-Trance byWhile we both love Dee's original version, times move on and so do the people who create the content for the 3d models Dee uses.
While Dee is committed to trying to move the morphs, or to put it plainer the "faces" of all our V4 characters to later generations of the Genesis base...so far she hasn't had much success.
So here is a completely new build of En-Trance by Dee using Genesis 3 and incorporating some updates to Trance' costume as well.
I would be really interested to here what people think, and if this version of Trance is a version folks would like to see more of.
En-Trance, aka the Shadow Siren is my oc and may not be used without permission
Art by using Daz Studio 4.8 / I-ray with postwork in GIMP and background in Comic Life 3. This En-Trance is based on the G3F figure.
Our thanks go to our friends and whose use of later Genesis figures convinced Dee that maybe change isn't a bad thing

I feel her frustration when I migrated from genesis 2 to 3 getting the characters to look right was a pain.Β
I wound up loading the old one in and then did a side by side reconstruction by trying to make the new
look like the old with the morphs available on the new model. Worked out pretty well but took forever.
Really not looking forward to doing the same for Genesis 8 in a few months.

We found an app that converts V4 to G3 so with the help of some knowledgeable friends we will try that

Best of luck! I've had a mixed bag when it comes to automatic converters.
Generally the only ones that have worked out for me have been the pose converters.Β

Heh that's unfortunate. I know there was something for converting characters in DAZ either on
renderosity or the DAZ store but I can't remember if it covered V4 as well or if there was a similar product for V4.Β

Dee bought the Gen converter on Daz, it does V4 but it is (apparently) notoriously hard to use...and the person who created it has sadly passed away...so back to the drawing board there

That's unfortunate. IIRC SickleYield has one or two tutorials about
converting characters without having to go through each individual morph.
I ran into a few problems going that route but it might work out better for you.Β

I love the darker shade of her outfit and the new boots but there is just something about her original face that I really love!

Looks good, I think I preferred the slightly redder purple colour (or a mix of blue-purple and red-purple), she looks a little more muted than previous versions. But that might just be because I am used to it

The costume is a little less revealing (No big deal to me, I think heroines SHOULD be a bit more modest--I expect Trance and I would have a lot of discussions about that) I will agree with the majority here and suggest a bit more work on the face--I know Dee was having trouble yesterday--she was working with her tongue popped out of one side of her mouth and no Clicky Clicky in her comments.
And you're right--people get too wed to one look, and the NEW image sometimes takes a while to settle into people's minds.Β There CAN be good changes (I love the current Wonder Woman look for instance) but they can be WRONG too--(Wonder Woman's bike shorts anyone?Β Or the Pants outfit?)Β This works well for the Shadow Siren, and I am eagerly awaiting 's take on Jessica too...

Dee had the most unexpected minor problem that took way longer than expected to fix...so no Clicky Clicky

Personally this version gets rid of a few issues I had with the old model, namely the face in general. Thought she used to have a bit too much forehead showing off and that probably fed into some weird thing I couldnβt describe about her eyes.
Either way, Iβm fine with this and, at the end of the day, all minor complaints will go away the more you just use it.

Thanks for the feedback...most people are keen to keep the original face...which would be my favoured option also if I am being honest.
But I also think youa re right and if the new version is used more often she will grow on people

I'm not a big fan of change and I really liked the colors in the older version, I can get used to the new look, especially if she still finds herself in and out of perilΒ

The colors...did you mean the multi colored hair?
I am a big fan of the old Trance model too...it was the first character Dee made for me...and I am trying to find a way to bring across the morph/face
But don't worry.... En-Trance will still find herself in peril and in magazine centerfolds
