The new or the old?Dee's G3 Trance got a very positive reaction, however like others, I am rather fond of the original V4 version.
So here she is, rebuilt from scratch, new skin, new body dials, new eye textures.
You can compare her to the genesis 3 version here ->Β
So...my question is...Is there still a place for the Classic Trance model?

Art by who worked late into the night rebuilding her original En-Trance model. Done in Daz 4.8/Iray with Gimp and Comic Life 3 for Postwork. This version of Trance is based on the old but tired and trusted Victoria 4 figure

This version. I meant that I prefer a little bit more the more pinkish hairstyle in this image compared to the more dark purple hairstyle in the other version you have in the description. Although to be honest, I really like both hairstyles.

Yeah I'm really loving the color of her hair and the darker bodysuit.
Plus I like how toned she looks as the G3 version.Β

Interesting... the hair has been a factor for a lot of people as has the V4 face...
Personally I prefer this version of her suit.
As to the toning... way easier to dial in on G3.
This V4 Trance is more toned than the original, but I asked Dee not to go too far as the character Trance in the stories isn't big into working out

Yeah I did like the V4 face a bit more. Makes her look nicer the G3 face looks a little angry to me.Β

I do prefer her hair this way...the two-tone hair is excellent. The other's is great too but this is the kind of style and colour that I associate with Trance *shrug* Slightly prefer her face too (again, for the particular character) but, as ever, could just be familiarity.

Yeah...I am glad she has a distinctive look...but it won't last forever at some point we will be forced to move on...the buckles on G3's briefs unbuckle...for example

Anything stopping the new figure from having 2-tone hair? I've only used one programme and I'm not very good with it, just wondering if some of the good things about this one could be brought across.

Dee hasn't found a hair yet that has the same color options as Trance current hair (basically Trance hair is split into zones that can each have a color)
There are some that mix colors, but not in the same way. She has only looked at Daz so far though...so we will try Renderosity...and if we can get V4 Trance face to transfer as well...life is full of win for everyone

That's a tough call.
For the face and the fact we all know and love her, the V4.
For the facts that I know what G3 can and will do and how much you will fall in love with those possibilities, the G3.

It really is! You've probably already discovered that the extra boning in G3 is a bit confusing and adds to the time required to pose the figure, but once you're accustomed to that, the G3's possibilities are amazing. It only took me a year and a half to test her out ...

But I will admit to a soft spot for Dee's V4 version and the majority seem to be aligned behind V4...
I am working though with friend's help to transfer the morph...best of both worlds hopefully

Yes, this look is a bit of a classic in my opinion. Β The hair, the bodysuit (with bikini bottom), and the boots are all part of her signature look. Β I say keep it until it isn't viable anymore

There's something about the Genesis 3 (and 8) figures that just bothers me. Maybe it's that I see them used a lot, and they just look... generic. I know I'm biased, but to me the Victoria 4 and Genesis 2 figures had definite differences and personality. You have to really work the morphs on a G3 or G8 to make it distinctive. Also, I think the V4 and G2 females just look prettier.
Which is a round-about way of saying that I still prefer En-Trance classic.
