Two beautiful eunuchs of Theodosius court. Blonde is Chrysaphius, brunette is Antiochus.Antiochus (praepositus sacri cubiculi) - was an influential eunuch courtier and official of the Byzantine Empire.
He was of Persian origin.
Chrysaphius, was a eunuch who became the chief minister of Theodosius II, and his favorite and lover.

Because they are not ordinary men, but eunuchs. Castration removes their testosterone and the grow up like women, still their gender is still XY chromosome and historically, they considered themselves men.
