Do I have to define it? I hope not 
It's rather spontaneously, in my opinion, and depends on current mood and all this stuff, whether to think of something as cute or not Besides general attitudes of course (e.g. gigantic spiders are never cute for me. Even if they are nice spiders.)
I have to admit, though, that I like most animals, mostly the small ones and animal babiesΒ Β Only in very rare cases I think of a human or humanoid being to be cute, one very good example here is Loki
