Description Small emperor and powerful and beautiful eunuchs in the Han Imperial Court in Ancient China.
I was inspired by this information.
"Emperor Ling of the later Han dynasty called his eunuch chamberlains “chang jang—my father” and “chao chung—my mother." These familiar terms show that a mutual feeling of respect existed between the emperor and his eunuchs. The eunuchs, who spent day and night at the emperor's side, often acquired considerable influence and wealth in their positions. "

Eunuchs are men who have been castrated. Just wanted you to think about how you are using the word and the people. They do not look like women.

If a man is castrated before puberty, the hormone testosterone is not produced, which is why men become similar to transgender people after hormonal therapy. Also, eunuchs can be different, masculine, androgynous, or feminine. Look at photos of people with androgen insensitivity or Klinefelter syndrome. There are intersexuals. There are pseudohermaphrodites. There are also simply feminine men who are not eunuchs and without syndromes. All people are different. What a problem?

This is really cool, and I really like it because I can't find anything better. However, here are a few tips
1. There is a saying that Emperor Ling only said so because he was scared of the great power of the ten attendants (ten eunuchs who held great power, includes Chang Jang and Chao Chung).
2.Chinese eunuchs don't let their hair down. As I know they tie it and stuff it into hats.
3.I'm not sure about this, but red clothes are very precious because of their bright colors (which is very hard to dye during that time).
4.The biggest difference between Chinese and other eunuchs is that they don't really dress as girls. They are still taken as men.

In the end  Chao Chung died a terrifying death, and Chang Jang jumped into the yellow river while fleeing from the officials (the "good" guys).

Actually, most Chinese eunuchs are not Chinese by nationality, they came from Turks, Vietnamese, Koreans, Tungus, and many others. Sometimes in China palaces eunuchs from Persia and Arabia.

  • "There were eunuchs from China's various ethnic tribes, Mongolia, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Central Asia, Thailand, and Okinawa.
There were Korean, Jurchen, Mongol, Central Asian, and Vietnamese eunuchs under the Yongle Emperor, including Mongol eunuchs who served him while he was the Prince of Yan. The Muslim and Mongol eunuchs were present in the Ming court, such as the ones captured from the Mongol-controlled Yunnan in 1381, and among them was the great Ming maritime explorer Zheng He, who served Yongle. Muslim eunuchs were sent as ambassadors to the Timurids. Vietnamese eunuchs like Ruan Lang, Ruan An, Fan Hong, Chen Wu, and Wang Jin were sent by Zhang Fu to the Ming."
    - From Wikipedia

Also, about what you say... I don't believe in defamatory slanders against eunuchs. Yes, maybe some separate eunuch could be bad and evil, but this is more of an exception. Why do Byzantine eunuchs compare with angels, and in China they are like evil demons? The eunuchs are about the same everywhere... their culture and behavior may have been different, but I do not think that in China eunuchs were worse than men and women.
Zheng He, Cai Lun, Nguyễn An...These eunuchs were remarkable and worthy of respect. I think you need to pay attention to the best examples of eunuchs.

I used information about Chinese eunuchs from history research books, and some of the eunuchs really let their long hair down , used feminine clothes and make-up. This was their quirk in the days of rest or holidays, and not an official look.
  • About hair: "According to Shen, ....the emperor liked keeping company with smart, handsome young eunuchs, who had long flowing hair, some of whom "slept and rose with him."" - The Emperor and His Eunuchs from book "Celestial Women: Imperial Wives and Concubines in China from Song to Qing" By Keith McMahon (Keith McMahon is professor of East Asian languages and cultures at the University of Kansas).

I search Han dynasty clothing, and I saw a lot red color. Red color was rare in ancient time (as purple also), so it was valuable and it was worn by aristocratic and very rich people.
And I don't see much difference between the women's and men's clothing of ancient China. Exactly in this artwork I used reference of a Chinese male costume.

"In the end  Chao Chung died a terrifying death, and Chang Jang jumped into the yellow river while fleeing from the officials"

Yes, I know it. And this is sad and creepy. But what does it change? Many historical figures, men, women and eunuchs could end their lives tragically.

Hey (again)! So first I’d like to apologise for my weird comment, it was made a while ago and I feel really bad about it. I forgot about it for a while and coming back to this masterpiece and reading my comment again made me feel like an immature kid. So yeah, and I ‘d like to add a few things.

-I don’t hate eunuchs, it’s just when I was typing that comment we were learning about the fall of the eastern Han dynasty and we were just learning about the “evil” stuff that the eunuchs did. I did some research after this and I guess I could say this is what the officials did since they were the rivals of the eunuchs and they wrote history books, so they probably made the eunuchs sound really evil. So maybe I sounded like I hated them.

-The “element(idk how to translate)” of the eastern Han dynasty is fire (I know it sounds fictional but it’s a tradition), so red clothing is reasonable but suits royalty better. These are the super small details and don’t really matter.

-I think that the eunuchs were one of the only people who foresaw the terrible fate of the Han dynasty (breaking into pieces and becoming the three kingdoms)since before Chang Jang’s died, he told the (new) emperor to beware and take care of himself, since soon the country would break into a really bad war.

So this is all I have to say for now. I hope I don’t sound dumb, and by the way your reply taught me a lot, so thank you very much!

Hi! Everything is ok, I understand you, we all make mistakes, I also sometimes make mistakes. I'm glad for your honesty and courage to admit you were kinda wrong.
I also apologize if suddenly my words sounded as if I was angry or displeased. I just want to dispel negative stereotypes about eunuchs, because of which real eunuchs suffer. I have eunuchs friends who suffer because of negative prejudices about eunuchs. This is sad, so I want to restore fair treatment of these people.
Thanks for the replies!

Beautiful I love the tender and sweet atmosphere around them... And I like the characters of eunuchs- am I the only one who thinks that the left one looks more masculine and the right one looks more feminine?

Thank you!
Yes, one of them is more feminine, the other more manly. Like "mom" and "dad" for the emperor ^^
