Description The setting of my fantasy story Little Knight. The Isle of Toria is equivalent to medieval Britain. Long ago the kingdoms were united under the mighty warrior Sonurik, but after his death his crown was buried inside his tomb, said only to open for a man of true benevolence.
Unfortunately none were capable of entering the tomb, and in time warriors took power into their own hands severing the lands of the kingdom among themselves. An age of darkness had descended upon the Torians.
From the mainland Emperor Köngzwergen of Alorlim invaded the island and annexed the inferior kingdoms. Unfortunately the locals were resistance to his rule, with frequent revolts among the peasantry and nobility alike. Under Köngzwergen's reign witchcraft was abolished and anyone caught practicing the dark arts was sentenced to hanged.

The Faith of Copernicus has been ruthlessly enforced by the empire, those who attend the Sabbath are granted free food and beverage. In time the old faith of Toria has been largely forgotten and Copernicans rule the streets.

...oh, dear. Clever, although slightly confusing when it comes to names. Are they all part of the same language family?

If you flip the map vertically it will more closely resemble England.

No 'language,' though some of the names of the characters and kingdoms are based from Welsh and Old English. For an example, "Quent" is my counterpart to "Kent."

Ah...aw, pity, I was really hoping there'd be a language.
