Description Just a nice closeup of an anenome. I just love these with the red tips. Now, I'm just waiting for Nemo to swim into one and hide.

I love this. Are they poisonous?

no, not poisonous, but they can kinds of irratate the skin a bit. Pretty much like everything else underwater...don't touch it. As much for your protection as theirs...you don't want to run any germs or microbes onto the critters.

Thanks. I am a big fan of them. They are just simple little things many divers just ignore. But, they really intrigue me.

They actually have them in pet store?! What an 'exciting' pet that would be to have

In the heart of the Midwest. You know, never eat 'fresh' seafood here.

Ha Ha! You know another one that intrgues the heck out of me is the Carribean squid (I have a pix somewhere. I will have to post it). They are just this collection of ... um ... well.. 'jelly.' But they constantly change colors.

Not exactly poisonous for humans. But they can sting or irratate the skin. I've just always liked the colors. Nature tends to make the poisonous critters very colorful. Other critters realize that, humans just don't know the code. Either way, I'm not going to touch it or put my lips on that.
