Danielle welcomes you to her web - such a coy expression for such a little girl - she seems a bit mysterious no?She was "dead" in her last Halloween portraits - in this one she wanted to be "magical". The makeup is toned in silver and the web is made of silvery fuzzy thread.
I'm so thankful for her mother giving us the oppportunity to do these original ways to save memories for them at Halloween with things other than plastic masks and underroo costumes.

down the road i'm gonna do a momma/daughter portrait of this one and her mom (who is my goddess no. 3 in my gallery) - you'll see this apple didn't fall far from the tree.

The makeup is really well done, makes her look magical as well as muhc older. The background is very nice too as well as the odd lighting, that almost gives the picture old-timey feel. The black on black really works to help make her part of the web. Great short Mary.

oooh yeah. spoooky! the deep black works well, although her head tends to blend a bit too much with the background. try shining a narrow beam of light (you can wrap a tube of tinfoil around the lamp to direct it) at the back of her head, slightly towards the camera position. this will define the shape of her hair a bit against the BG. it's a neat trick and/or treat.

Heh, that's a lovely shot.
So very dark..Perhaps a little too dark to get some of the detail.
But so grand a shot, and a great idea.
That'll be lovely for the parents/kiddo to have later on :-D
