THEME SONG : Down in New Orleans , MvC 2
His best stories:
-Anything By Fabian Nicieza , honestly they don't get LeBeau de way dey did in the past Cher (Although Miss Liu gave him his groove back)
- Gambit V3 (all 24 issues & both annuals , this is THE DEFINITIVE Remy, & I really wish Nicieza got the opportunity to have finished his 50 before Claremont botched it...)
- Gambit V4 (By Layman /Jeanty, This was an oasis of unadulterated fun while the core books sucked on toast, this was fun! & canon for me (except for Colossus who is dead & buried...)
-UXM 266 his first appearance ; The Jim Lee run, Lobdell / Nicieza period.
The Outfits:From Left To right
1) The Classic one & most well known
2) Casual clothes (the Master gotta have the class cher...)
3) Reverse ( yeah I didn't draw the coat... lazy that I was but if you had a problem with the body armor, well it' gone)
4) Counter X era ( in his solo, dynamic as hell!)
5) CANON outfit! (the X-treme x-men sucked as a series , but this to me is THE PERFECT COSTUME! who agrees?
Now the best artists:
1) Salvador Larroca (just for the X-treme outfit...TOP NOTCH!)
2) Jim Lee (gave Gambit a distinct look and feel; gritty, tough as nails, yet charming, all at the same time. The other artists shown only seem to get some of those qualities and make him too handsome.)
3)Steve Skorce ( Dynamism we love thee!)
4)The Kubert Bros
5) Joe Madureira
Now Gambit fans My brethern , DISCUSS!

I will try and remember the stare but most likely I will forget about it.

Thank you for drawing one of my favorite X-Men heroes, the other being Rogue (also a fan of their past passionate relationship and not the angst they do on and off ruining it), and idol. Your drawn depictions of every 'good' version of him is wonderful under your art style which is of such good quality that deserves to be right with the list of artists you posted in the summary. I would love to see Rogue next done by you!

then I have to ask you! what do you think are Rogue's best stories? What would her theme song be?
I mean I loved the Bedard solo series (that's how Rogue has tobe written!) but I 'm not much a fan of Carey's legacy, Rogue would NEVER allow friggin Mystique & Sabretooth in an x-men team! were the Editors high when they did that? But then again , Morrison got away with shitting on Emma Frost , Jean & Scott & inventing a villain that was basically a fetus that came out of the toilet because it hated Xavier...Nah still doesn't makes sense to me, what a hack!

I agree with you completely on Carey, that back-stabbing bastard. He was the one who tricked everyone in how he was handling Gambit and Rogue just to satisfy himself and a few Magento and Rogue fans while mocking and insulting Gambit and Rogue fans. However, I did not cared for the last solo series of Rogue too much from what little I did read. Sorry.
As for everything else, I am with you in being against how Rogue and the X-Men have mostly been treated this past decade. So much of it is written and drawn so badly stupid and offensive just like some of the examples you mentioned.
At this time, I cannot recall well the best story examples of Rogue as it has been so long I read comics avoiding the bitter taste and painful sting that Marvel had done to us all real true fans this past decade. But, I will get to you in a Note sometime soon which ones would be it for Rogue. Okay?
As for Rogue's theme song, I would recommend 'Mississppi Queen' by Mountain. [link]

NIIIIce! I'm really glad to find someone who cares! But srsly I do recommend the Tony Bedard issues of her solos, in 7 issues , Bedard really proved he GETS her!
I may always get mocked for this but about Morrison's run, It was some of the most overrated trash I've ever read! When all the "heroes " are unlikable douches well, you fail as a writer! To think one of his first moves was to kill Rogue & Gambit...
I'm not kidding, he wanted to kill her to replace her by the movie version (yeah, because that version was great! just like Sam Raimi's Venom or Schumacher 's Bane, how to spit at the fans faces!) & then kill Gambit in a bar, where Wolverine helped him mourn her ... it really shows "insight" from the "god" of comics. The good news he never got to write them so they weren't killed, the bad news are they were put in Austen 's hands & Morrison got to ruin Emma Frost beyond any repair, Kill Jean Grey (yep you liked her in the 90's? in the evolution cartoon? Well look at her getting slaughtered once again & used as a deus ex machina!) & Cyclops... oh god, how can anyone tell me that this version was good? Morrison wrote him like shit! he was a waste of space, this wasn't a leader this was a little dipshit!. I love how his marriage with Jean is destroyed under the claim it makes him interesting. Hell no one mentioned Maddie Pryor's Tragedy, Mr sinister or even the fact that Cable exists! Why? because it would make Morrison's idea look like incoherent shit & IT IS! This is OMD level of bad!they did not need Mephisto because the hackery of Morrison sufficed! Kissing someone that tried to kill you in the past while your wife's body isn't even cold? heroism ladies & gents! I hoped the cyclops from the 90's jumped in that page & ripped that impostor's nutsack while yelling you don't deserve them.
oh & about Magneto & Rogue, it worked ONLY in AOA just like Logan & Jean! It worked only in THAT context, the timeline involved changes & modifications & many radical differences, IT shouldn't be brought to the mainstream! The only thing that needs to be used in the mainstream is the BADASSERY Of Sinister & Apocalypse!Hell even a team up would be awesome!
Sorry for the length man.I really needed to talk about that!

Hey. I understand and sympathize with you on ALL of that. I agree with you of the suck and blow by Morrison, Bendis, Claremont, and the rest of the dumb and egotistical dipshits that work or worship such people as I mentioned.
Coming from someone like you, I think I will go back and look at, maybe even collect, Rogue's own comic series. Thanks. How many issues that series lasted to make sure I find them all and read them?

the 7 issues with Tony Bedard were great collected in the TPB "forget me not". there's the fact that Rogue used to work with Mystique & was acriminal is aside most people forget while it's a big part of the character,Rogue is hot tempered , Tough & impulsive yet she does have a few skeletons in the closet when part of Mystique & destiny's brotherhood, as an x-woman she's in search for redemption. Gambit on the other hand, Loves being a thief & will never deny it, it 's what he is, he's part of the team more because Storm is a good friend of his rather than seeking help

I agree and understand Gambit being a wild loner, but he is also dedicated with the love he has for Rogue as well, so he is always pulled back to the X-Men for her other than to redeem his consciousness for his past being a theif and having to mistakenly work for Sinister. I feel that, in fact, Rogue and Gambit can be best good together as a lone duo handling things even without the X-Men although they still like to be with them, but sometime it is both more fun and personal to handle things their way without the X-Men invovled just like Wolverine does with his own affairs and most adventures by himself. Sorry if my opinion does not agree with you, though. I am jsut a strong and dedicated beleiver of Gambit and Rogue being together both in love and in heroics.
By the way, thank you for the recommendation of the Rogue comic series. I will definately look into it, my fellow fan.

not at all , I said when they are well written , they both work pretty well , so it's no problem. As a duo, they'd definitely work as the irredeemable thief & the reformed belle! as long as it's fun I'm all for it. As for Sinister, Well I fucking love Sinister, If there has been one underappreciated villain ,It's Nathaniel Essex! Hell I loved the fact that Gambit was indebted to Essex for an operation, but I disagree with whoever says gambit was dumb for gathering the marauders. HE HAD NO CHOICE! I don't think Sinister is the kind of guy that lets you walk away so easily if you owe something such a neural operation, wanna fight him? well the guy is a powerhouse! he fights teams & controls the structure of his own body! good luck with that

Glad you agree with me about Rogue and Gambit perfect as a duo. Definately, theose 2 are natural at being fun while kicking ass and taking names!
By the way, I alos agree with you on Sinister. He was well used long ago with Inferno, but since then, he has been rather downplayed alot if not improerly used. Do not get me wrong when I said 'mistakenly.' No way I meant it was stupid for Gambit for what he did. I agree, again, about the situation with having to make a deal with a twisted, powerful devil like Sinister. Besides, Gambit once thought Scalphunter was a friend and did not know the Marauders, especially who the rest of them were, secretly was told by Sinister to kill the Morlocks than other things Gambit was obligated to do with the group on the Morlocks. The whole tradgic story of his involvement makes for intrigue and depth of his character with having faults and thus why he seeks to do good to make up for it. I know better. Trust me, okay?

Actually , Sinister became awesome when Nicieza, Lobdell & Pad got a hold of the guy & , thank god, used a faustian origin rather than Claremont 's original intent; the idea was that he was a powerful mutant who had been around for some time but his physical development had stopped around age 11, so in order to be taken seriously as a super villain, he created the Sinister vessel modeled after what a kid would find scary then sent him out into the world.Gambit would be another construct he'd use to infiltrate the x-men.
Yeah, it's out there but honestly I find the Idea of a geneticist that allowed himself to sell his soul to science more tragic & deeper for such a great villain. & I love Gambit the way he is what we know of his past is enough, a baby with black eyes kidnapped from a hospital...& that's it ! no need for more!

Okay. Sorry I did not know exactly which writer did Sinister best. But, certainly I have no respect for Claremont whatsoever, just to clear any misunderstanding. That example of Claremont's idea for Gambit, which I knew he never liked Gambit especially him and Rogue together, is new additional proof why I hate that fat, egotisitcal bastard.
