Yeah, I was in an odd mood a few weeks ago
. I had a really strong urge to do a map of the Pridelands. And so after doing a few rough sketches and using A LOT of screen shot references, I took the “Rough Drafts” with me to Dad’s office, and used them as reference to draw a map in Photoshop. So here it is; my vision of what the Pridelands look like. I don’t normally do maps (hopefully you see why here), but I do like how this turned out. I’m likely going to come back and change a few things but for now, I’m satisfied with how it is now.
If any one has a question about where places are located and why, don’t be scared to ask. I’ll be more then happy to answer
. Also, if anyone wishes to use this map for things like RPing, and other fun stuff like that, go for it. Just tell me what you want to use it for and credit me and we’ll be cool.However, know that this is my idea of the Prideland set up and not canon to the actual movie (even if I used references strait from the movie). So if you try to claim this is the genuine map of the Pridelands, I will openly deny it anyone. And as always, don’t steal or use without my permission. I’m easy going but not that easy going.

I used a lot of LK screen shots (paying attention to the background) and a bit of the dialogue to figure out the layout of the kingdom.
For example, during the scene where Mufasa takes Simba up on top Priderock to show him the kingdom, Simba mentions the "shadowy place". Sense its the dawn hours and the only place that would likely not be illuminated during the dawn is the western side of the land, I put the Shadowlands (AKA the elephant graveyard) to the west. And during the scene with Scar talking to Simba on the ledge, Scar says "but he didn't show you that rise on the northern border". Now we are all assuming that he's talking about the Shadowlands so I moved the grounds up to the northern part of the map while still keeping them to the west and ta-dah, the Shadowlands exist to the North-western border of the Pridelands.
I then went through with all the other major landmarks and such to complete the map
