As most of the TLK community knows by now, MalisTLK did a meme thing and it really took off. I REALLY wanted to take part but as most if not all the slots were spoiler heavy in nature for my stories, I couldn't do it. So here is my counter to that.

- Naanda was suppose to be Sarabi's sister (and maybe Nala's mother) in the old script for the first "Lion King" and fans often go with her being her sister, often an older sister.

- Only known as at the "Selfish Lion" in the small illustrated story "The Brightest Star", he's shown in one illustration and described as hoarding the water from the other animals during a drought. He looks very much like Scar but with brown coloration like King Mohatu (who rules at this time in the story). This has lead to many people making "selfish lion either related to Scar through Uru/Ahadi or the brother fo Mohatu or a mix of both.

- Shani can reference one of two characters. Either its Simba's cut sister from the first "Lion King" who never got much further than name only. Or its the alternate name (along with being called Aisha at one point) for Kiara in the early drafts of "Lion King 2". This has given fans a little chance to add on more characters. Often giving a little sister to Simba born after Mufasa's death and during Scar's reign. Or another sibling for Kiara. Or both.

- Asante is a friendly hyena cub that Kopa saves from a snake in the short story "Friends for Life". People often depict her and Kopa's relationship akin to "The Fox and the Hound" with either the two becoming at odds due to their different natures or staying friends despite the the old resentments their separate people hold.

- Both Tesma and Bhati served similar roles in that they were characters in the early drafts of the "Lion King" script though they got for enough to have early drafts and images drawn up of both in greater detail. They were intended to be part of Simba and Nala's friend group along with Mheetu. Bhati is depicted as a battered fox with a wisecracking attitude in early drafts but fans often make her a majordomo to one of the past kings. Tesma was though to be a banded mongoose because of of her sketches but it was later revealed she was a meerkat and suppose to be Timon's wife. She's often depicted by the fans as his sister instead.
