This is just a little idea that I had for the group system
What is it?
it's an idea for sticky comments, so that on a group account, if there is a comment of relevance to do with the journal that has been posted e.g. if a journal about group recommendations was posted and someone has a particularly good idea then it can be stuck at the top as a good example, or if an admin of a club is giving information about some club updates and another member wants to add something more to the info but cant edit the journal then they can post a comment if the admin sees fit they can stick it to the top.
How does it work?
if you look in the top right hand corner of all the normal comments there is a blue up button which sticks the comment in the blue "sticky comments" section and comments in that section have a red down button to remove it from sticky comments if it is no longer needed.
i think there would have to be a limit on the number of sticky comments, somewhere around 4-5.

I think that would fix the visual of it also. I think stickies are a good idea.

I like the idea-- but as I said on the original comment thread pictured in the deviation (
Who would sticky the comments? Moderators, Founders, or Co-Founders of the groups? Could you change the settings as to who can sticky certain comments?
Would sticky comments be just for groups-- or for the whole dA interface?...

i think it would work best if the ability to stick comments could be set by a rule (like most group stuff)
i don't think it'd be necessary to have it for the whole of DA, i think it'd be fine for just groups
as for the edit journal thing, i just think it's a quicker more personal way of showing the info and it also means that people can reply to the sticky note with whatever they think to the new revelations

yes only group admins have the ability to stick comments, otherwise there could be some arguing
