Description
Really trying to branch out in terms of style and subject matter lately, this time trying to imitate a more traditional, painterly style, which I found requires a lot more conscious decisions with fewer decisive brushstrokes, as opposed to painting with attention to detail which loses a bit of that painting texture.A nice change of pace from the usual fantasy/sci-fi stuff, feedback/critique is welcome and appreciated !

Very well done. Wind directions are consistent (amazing how often that's not the case) for take-off and landing the plane. Not sure if the white stuff on the engine cowling and wings is snow or artistic flavoring. The rest of the scene has a prairie in the winter kind of feel to it which leads to it being snow. However, it appears like her and her dog are departing the plane which leads me to think it's artistic flavoring, since there is no way snow would have remained on an engine cowling after a flight. Just a touch to warm regardless of the temps outside.
Nice touch with the dog's goggles. If it hadn't been for those, I would have quibbled about the title. While Aviators is a generic term for pilots the more correct title for a female pilot of the barnstorming era would be "Aviatrix"
Overall, a lovely piece.

Thanks for the comment ! You're right about the snow on the plane though, I didn't really think it through about the engine temperature and such

You're welcome. And you probably aren't the first to forget about the little things (re: my comment about winds) like that. Nor will you be the last. And besides, who says that has to be the plane they're walking away from. Their plane could be off panel for all the viewer knows...

It's beautifully done, you've got lots of expression into the piece. Nice use of colours too. Really like it
