paints are ... definitely not my forte, but... hell why not. i'll try painting this one. after the ref sheet is finished of course

Paints are highly rewarding, very worth the initial pain. It also makes you appreciate solid lighting and color compositions. I think that in some cases it can strengthen your drawing skills because it can help you understand how to draw volumes better (where stuff bulges out more or less because it affects shadow gradients on surfaces.)

Really getting there Sam, great pose nice proportions. It needs a larger variation on armor textures and a healthy dose of line weight.
But other than that a great looking toon!

haha i'm gonna try and keep the armor simple because i plan on joining this Original Character Tournament (OCT) where we pit our characters against each other in fights. so i want to be able to draw her repeatedly and not let the armor design be over bearing for my opponent.
as for line weight, i still need to practice practice practice
