Description
This is a 3d re-creation of my friend's old bedroom where I first discovered my love of digital art and computer creativity. All modelling, texturing and lighting was done by me in Cinema 4d and V-ray.
It is actually my first attempt at a 3d interior and an ongoing project so any feedback would be most welcome.

We all used to fight for that rocking chair. It was so comfortable and good fun to move around while gaming. Thanks for the feedback!

Terrific work Dan.
It actually looks like what my brother's room looked like... minus the Freddie Mercury poster that is. He was definitley a metal head.
Maybe there should be some stronger shadows around the rocking chair and the foot stool due to the light from the window... but that's just me being picky.
I love all the little details, like the flag over the door, the dumbbells and the blackboard. I am surprised though that there aren't any empty cans of Coke, Vimto or crisp pokes lying around.. and no sign of a Playboy mag anywhere.

Thanks Elspeth, it's really nice to get such positive feedback on this as I've only been learning 3d for a few months. I'm not quite sure how to strengthen the shadows without losing the overall softness yet, but will perhaps change it when I work it out.
It's funny you should mention the Coke can and Playboy mag because in the full scene there's an empty Coke bottle on the window sill and a Scream Queen's mag (kind of a horror fan's playboy) at the side of the bed. You've got us guys sussed!

You're more than welcome Dan.
I'd never have known that you'd only been doing it for 3 months.. I tried 3d once but just couldn't get my head round all the angles I had to input.
I know some folk bring their 3d work into Photoshop to do some post processing work - could you add the shadows in PS?
Just a suggestion.
Ha-ha... can't believe that those things are in there.
As for having guys sussed... hmm not too sure about that but having 2 older brothers does tend to give me a few pointers.

on the other one you posted, i commented on it, and in this render, those comments are less noticeable. I would say this is convincing.
Very nice job.

Thank you. I need to keep my camera distorting to a minimum I think.
