As a History fiend who loves anything pertaining to ancient warfare: Yeah, I really liked them.
You don't happen to be a member of [link] by any chance? If not, I highly recommend the site. I have posted sketches, and drawings, to check my accuracy. And, I must admit, I do get a lot of critiques about it. And no, I am not an admin, just a humble, generally clueless member.
However, my own Marshal artworks have benefitted from my association with members, and admins on the site. I always post a disclaimer: "Any deviation from actual historical models, is for compositional purposes."
Artistry must overshadow accuracy, unless you are researching, or illustrating a textbook... *sigh*
