Description
Been working since a long time on a huge fat ref, not sure if I will ever finish it pfffff. But he needed a design update so badly I decided to post just the main drawings from the ref.Old design can be seen >here< lots of things changed. He became a lot more cyborg because fuck yeah, robotics.
Also like I always point out, while Dezilon is pretty much my mascot/fursona he isn't supposed to BE me. Or representative of my own looks (clearly) or personality in any way.
If I ever finish the ref you will get all the walls of text/story blabs, because a lot of that changed too.

Ah, cyborg dragon. That's so amazing to see such concepts. And the work on anatomy is great, very beautiful and cool character

Grr, yet another case of the dreaded 'elbow'/shoulder wing skin!
Otherwise, nice. ^-^

The ... what? Are you talking about this part ? I'm confused, I have never seen anybody complain about it ... because it is supposed to be there. Some bats have even more of that membrane. And clearly this type of dragon wings are based on bat wings (although even birds have that, you just don't see it since it's covered with feathers). I'm in no way an expert on wings, but I believe it has to be there to increase the size of the wing, for the bat/creature to be able to generate enough lift when flapping. Either way, it's certainly not wrong to put it there.
And you know ... when I read 'elbow' I expected it to be about the elbow spines. Which is a way more sensible thing to make a statement about, as they have no basis in reality and are a purely decorative choice. Things coming out of the joint would cripple the arm's movement. I personally dread 'elbow spikes' normally, but I draw mine as soft, bendable spines rather than spikes, which makes it a bit more acceptable (though not 100%) but fuck it, I like the shape they make.
If you were talking about something else, please correct me. Although there's nothing that could possibly be unrealistic other than the elbow spines, but I am well aware of those.

Oh, I didn't know! Thanks for informing me! Just in some pictures it looks way too tight to let the wing stretch out. I feel a little stupid now.

No problem, I'm glad you learned something (:
I can see why you're concerned about that, but the wing arm doesn't need to stretch out fully. Find any video of a flying bat and you'll see that the arm always has a bend. Though if the wing is folded you might indeed want to draw the membrane slacked or wrinkled, or it might look like the wing can't stretch out enough (goes for all of the membrane though, not only the piece between the shoulder/hand).
