Description I haven’t played the game yet, (hoping to get the game soon), but according to Nintendo, Toad is classified for expert (Hardcore) players, and is fast.

….and blue. Yeah, it’s self explanatory.

Lol but no that cat suits only gains abilities not increase speed and second of all, he only dash but he is nowhere near as agile and swift as sonic.

DFKJR In reply to ProtronRazoron [2014-01-17 16:35:02 +0000 UTC]

That's not what it's about.

It's the fact that Nintendo made Blue Toad the fastest character in 3D World. The cat suit is just for source tip of what game.

Why did I read Toad's dialogue in his voice from Mario kart 64?
And have at you, Sonic D:< Who's slow now?

Of course he's the fastest. He was like that in SMB2.

I don't know about being fast in SMB2, he was the strongest though.

JK-Kino In reply to DFKJR [2014-01-15 18:17:06 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. If I remember correctly, he ran like a champ, pulled turnips like a champ, and jumped like a broken pogo stick.

Of course, I would always play as Peach because she could float.

DFKJR In reply to JK-Kino [2014-01-15 18:44:32 +0000 UTC]

I always play as Luigi and Peach, because of their superior jumping skills and abilities.
Once I get 3D World, it might be the same.

DFKJR In reply to TMan5636 [2014-01-15 18:13:40 +0000 UTC]

I haven't played Sonic Lost World, but from what the reviews on YouTube been saying, Sonic has truly been known for being a platformer other than just speed.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TMan5636 In reply to DFKJR [2014-01-15 18:17:29 +0000 UTC]

yeah but his speed was practically cut to only walking. you literally cannot go any faster unless you hold down a dash button. in my opinion it was a stupid idea since in every Sonic game, his speed gradually increased the more you moved so it was extremely off putting to have it not go any faster.

what's even worse is that there is literally no tutorials so you had to figure out how to go faster and what was the dash button

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DFKJR In reply to TMan5636 [2014-01-15 18:43:07 +0000 UTC]

I really think its the experience with players for Sonic games.

Like myself, I usually don't like how Sonic is moving too fast, and I ended up getting hit or dieing. That is mainly in 2D games and maybe 3D games. Although, in 3D games, it kinda guilds you a bit so you won't have to worry about such a fate.

I guess its a matter of opinion.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TMan5636 In reply to DFKJR [2014-01-15 18:49:50 +0000 UTC]

yeah, the dash button isn't the worst part of it, though it would be nice if they at least asked you if you want a tutorial.

I've played the demo version for the 3DS, and it has those "?" hints to give instructions.
I'm not sure about the WiiU.

wii u doesnt have them. in fact I would actually recommend the 3DS version as the controls are not as "misguided"

Funny enough, I've finished the game (Sonic Lost World, and I'm trying to finish Super Mario 3D World 100%), and I loved it, and yes, the only problem is thare are no Tutorials, but I guess SEGA decided to get rid of it ever since Fans complained about Omochao.....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TMan5636 In reply to cucaracha2 [2014-01-16 08:57:19 +0000 UTC]

well I bet their complaining on how they had no idea what to do. seriously, making Sonic at walking speed only and needing a dash button was stupid enough, but rearranging the attack buttons was really off putting.

but my biggest BIGGEST issue is that for some stupid reason, the homing attack does not work on bosses but a standard jump does... WHAT KIND OF SENSE DOES THAT MAKE?! do you have any idea how ridiculously hard it is to do precise jumping on a 3D over the shoulder environment!?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

cucaracha2 In reply to TMan5636 [2014-01-16 09:07:29 +0000 UTC]

You need to precise it, if you lock on the target when doing the Homing Attack it's easier to hit them.

Out of topic, though, to have the conversation longer, aside from SLW, which other games you bought?.

well...

Super Mario 3D World (Absolutly Amazing!)

SpongeBob Plankton's Robotic Revenge (Not bad, a bit short and repetitive bosses)

Mario and Sonic 2014 Winter Games (Pretty good, haven't played it much though)

Silent Hill Downpour (So far really fun, but really friggin CREEPY!)

LoZ A Link Between Worlds. (Quite fun.)

Mario and Luigi Dream Team Bros (LOOOVE it so much!)

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Gates to Infinite (Don't like how only 5 Pokémon are optional, good game so far)

I got New Super Luigi U, (think New Super Mario Bros. U but more challenging, I like it for what it is, but it can get quite boring) Super Mario 3D World, (awesome game of awesome proportions, but I still want a proper Super Mario 64 game), Pokemon X, (so far so good, though I've been busier leveling up my Team than going through the Storyline, seriously I already have 6 Pokemon on it, and I'm barely going for the second badge), the aforementioned Sonic Lost World, (hated by the critics, loved by fans for what it is, including myself, this game is gonna become yet another underrated Sonic game, in fact, I prefer this game over Sonic Colors), and finally last but not least Rayman Legends, (seriously, it outperformed Rayman Origins, it's an absolutely beautiful game, you should try it out, you won't regret it), and sorry for the wall of text, I love to express myself too much. XD

TMan5636 In reply to cucaracha2 [2014-01-16 16:59:33 +0000 UTC]

I did complete New Super Luigi U a while back. but I have doubts it'll get Rayman Legends since Origins left a foul taste in my mouth

the last few levels were so ridiculously hard and unfair it made me rage like never before, only to be confused by the seemingly abrupt ending, then there was the super boss which made me rage even more, the worst part was that it was the ending was short and just as confusing as the last which made it feel like I was just wasting my time.

Origins was good at first, and I never get tired of the water levels, but it was just the super frustrating ending and the red tooth collecting parts.

TMan5636 In reply to cucaracha2 [2014-01-16 21:54:31 +0000 UTC]

i'm mostly referring to the Land of the Livid Dead. it was completely unfair by several means, being way too fast for any one to react to, make even a slight mistake and your finished, and the true final boss was just plain annoying an unimaginative.

once you beat it, it just poofs away in a purple cloud of smoke and the credits roll. there I absolutely saw no point in even doing it, I didn't know if I was saving the world or why I even bothered going down there. it felt so out of place and completely unnecessary

that was until I had to look up the story online to understand everything

Oh, that, oh come man, don't be a sourpuss about it, okay, granted, I, myself, never bothered with it, because it was a Bonus Level, meaning that it's entirely optional, seriously, don't let minor things in game like that bother ya, otherwise, you can become the bane of my existence..... a Hardcore Gamer.

oh i'm not a hardcore gamer by any stretch of the imagination, its just that one bit made me really angry. nowadays I just play it for the water levels

Honestly, I've found Toad to be the best character in the game, although Peach is decent for her floating ability. Mario and Luigi just waddle about too much for my taste, even in the recent 2D games. But then again, that could just be me being an old stick-in-the-mud gamer who's finds the movement in the classic games to be a little more fluent/responsive.

DFKJR In reply to DixieKong86 [2014-01-15 16:57:30 +0000 UTC]

What about Rosalina?

I guess she might be the same as Mario and Luigi, only with the addition with a spin attack.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DixieKong86 In reply to DFKJR [2014-01-15 22:09:17 +0000 UTC]

Rosalina's movement is actually a bit slower than Peach's, making her the slowest character, but her spin attack does come in handy.
