Description
This guy waded in deep to get this fish. I've heard stories about how the Canon 400DO f4 IS lens, just isn't sharp or other such bull. This shot is typical of what is possible with a little know how and a 400DO.Related content

Going for the goldfish. I wonder if they taste better..
I've seen an egret get that deep, but never a heron. Hm.. seems like it would be harder for him to move around that way.

I've never seen one get quite that deep. I think when he
dove in for the fish, he stepped into deeper water.
I don't think they can swim.. but I don't know that for sure.

I've never seen a great blue heron wade that deep! very interesting, he/she must have been quite hungry. nice capture.

I think it went deeper than planned when it went for
the fish.

Kinda fun.. and a lot unexpected. Never figured on a goldfish being in
a wild pond. Somebody dumped there pet fish apparently.
