Description
These are two shots in a sequence. They are some of the best flying shots I've taken this year. This is a verticle crop from a Horz image. Some sharpening and minordensity chgs in photoshop.. I love raptors..

Amazing shot. I've tried to get a few shots of a hawk, but mine look nothing like this. Great job.

All three of your inflights are great but this one is my fave. Superb little catchlight in the eye really finishes off a great pic. If I'd taken this shot it would be printed out and up on the wall for sure.

Thanks.. I can only take credit for the aiming.. my good ole canon did the
rest.. You didn't see the 8 out of focus shots.. I shoot in bursts of 3
usually and a few were off just a speck when I hit the trigger. So
slightly soft throw away images. (gotta get a mark III body). I understand
it has a much quicker focus and alot more focus points.

I shoot in burst of 3 or 4 too because I shoot handheld most of the time...usually at least one will be in focus...Still a spectacular shot...

A little. I have been working on a vehicle design for fun. Sorry about making you feel like a puupy. Now go sit down. Haha. Really frustrated with my shooting today. I seemed like I was 1/2 a stop off all day.

You know what I'd say to that.. Maybe tomorrow you'll
get that once in a lifetime shot. Any luck at mayowood
today?

Yep, the lens is covered with camo cloth, and you can't see
the lens.. so you have to work by feel. I don't think 30mm
would have made much diff.

Thanks.. I just noticed on the meta data, that I didn't have the lens fully zoomed..
thats life in the fast lane.. sometimes everything isn't perfect.
I think its one of my best hawk flying shots. Missed one today
with a mouse in his talons. As we say,, maybe tomorrow.
