Thanks.. amazing the energy released. I don't think
my canon 580ex will quite give off that much light.

Wow. o_o That storm came by my house last night. Seemed like every thirty seconds the house was shaking.
Awesome shots.. I can't wait to get a camera that can capture lighting. Were you standing out in the rain? O_o

Actually the rain had mostly passed and I was shooting
with occasional sprinkles, but I didn't get out the tripod,
I was on a hill with no close trees, so disgression is the better
part of valor.

Yep, I have a good time, once I found a spot without a
lot of city light to mess up the image. Thanks for watching..

I love how the underside of the clouds are illuminated. Makes it much more spoooooky.

We always see it, but seldom does it really register
how much energy is generated by one lighning strike.
