Description I've always been a huge fan of Casey Viator. He and the great Roy Callender duked it out in this contest with Viator squeaking by for the win.  In my version Casey wins a lot more easily. Apologies for the bad photo.

Nice job of making Casey's side-chest pose even more massive- I wish today's competitors would go back to this version of the side-chest instead of the "most-muscular-turned-to -the-side" way it is done now. So impressive to see his huge pecs presented atop a deep ribcage!

Thanks for the comment!  You're right about the modern side chest pose.  I hadn't thought of it but almost no one poses like this.  I wonder is it a judging standard or the difference in how their chests are built?  maybe that's one of the reasons I keep going back to old bodybuilding pictures.

I don't know when the change occurred but if you look at all the famous photos of Arnold posing his massive chest back in the day he is showing off his huge pecs on a "platform" created by his deep ribcage. The musclemen back then did pull-overs to help expand their ribcages for just this reason. I would love to see some of today's pectoral gods show off their development by posing their chests in this manner. Perhaps it will come back into "fashion" some day!
