Description
It looks like Andreas is afraid of what Bob has become!
These two bodybuilders were favorites of mine in the early eighties. Bob was an AAU athlete who won the overall Jr America title in 1979 while Andreas won the IFBB Mr. International in 1980. Andreas still competes sometimes and is in tremendous shape, he won the 2016 NABBA USA over 60 He went through a cancer scare that left his lower jaw paralyzed and wears a thick beard to cover it up. They are both active on Facebook.

Sorry, but that is Bob Jodkiewicz, not Reis. He and Andreas Cahling did a series of workout photos together and this was one of them. Perhaps your source photo was incorrectly captioned. Great morph nonetheless.

Much thanks for the correction! I'm not sure where the original error came from but thanks for your note and kind words!

Thanks. I wish it was Reis, as he's my all-time favorite bb'er. He placed very high in several big 80's contests, but somehow had only one overall national win (Mr. USA 1979), and never made it onto the cover of a single magazine. I find this very odd. Keep up the great work!

I think what jumps out at me here is how the picture perfectly fits the story you posted in the description. Seeing this picture with your touchup, kind of makes the story about these guys all the more poignant.
The greats retire, they have an injury and they somehow make it through. It's surprisingly inspirational and a touch sad.
And it helps that the editing is flawless to my eyes.

Real life isn't as much fun as the stories in my head and there is a tension in me. Is this a tribute or disrespect? It's neither and both but at least by identifying the people and telling a little of their actual achievements, I'm letting other people know about the men who have inspired my "art" and my passion for weight training and bodybuilding.
I appreciate the compliment here. This was a comparatively simple morph which usually works better than when I try for a more outrageous effect (although I still like to make my guys too big for real life). Thanks so much!

I find that real life is full of stories, but maybe not the ones you want to experience. When I was playing hockey, most of the players had more common with Kim Kardashian than with Wayne Gretzky; I mean that with full disdain.
But when telling your own story, by incorporating something real into it you really turn it into something more. Seeing a little piece of you and what makes you tick in this story is something that's quite a bit inspirational.
Speaking of inspiration I'm working on another Ikol story for a friend and one of the characters I had you in mind a little bit when making.

I am honored to be included in any way in anyone's art and especially someone as talented and thoughtful as you. I think I try to keep myself away from this page as far as delving into personal stuff, but you're astute in seeing me sharing something real in the middle of all my wild fictions here (which, whether I like it or not, tell their own story about me).
Your first paragraph which like my picture note is about how real life often runs differently than you think it should. I wonder at the comparison you make here. (I know I think too much). Gretzky is one of the all time greats, compared to him, most of us play as well as Kardashian. He was also incredibly disciplined and, despite the plaudits, seemed kind of humble (although with the confidence to do great things). Kardashian may have her own discipline, still publicly she comes off as narcissitic, self involved and acclaimed far beyond whatever ability she might have. Are you comparing playing ability or general attitude of these guys?

Well I continue to enjoy your morphs, and definitely your muscle giant story about Michael was and remains to be a thought provoking look into my own psyche. So in turn you inspired me in some way.
And yes it's good to keep one's closet skeletons where they belong, but one thing that art class taught me is that you can see a lot of the artist in the work.
when I talk about my old teammates, generally I'm referring to the fact that they were all a bunch of show boaters and braggarts. I don't even like hockey but I respect the time and effort that Gretzky put into becoming the great one. These guys were all talk, no show. The worst were those with parents who were friends with the scouts and minor league officials. They could coast by on something other than talent.
That kind of arrogance is just something that always gets to me.
At least the Kardashians keep their cash and run their own business. None of them has delusions of greatness because their folks are connected.
