Description Speed video showing the page being drawn: [link]

This is a page from Thor #620.1 which came out today from Marvel Comics with art by me(please grab a copy won't you?). It was the first time I did the book primarily digitally and took the opportunity to video myself doing a page from the book from start to finish. It's 9 hours of work condensed down to just a few minutes.
Dont entirely in photoshop CS1 with a cintiq and custom brushes. Colors by the amazing John Rauch!

EDIT!: glitch fixed and it's now viewable internationally!

Hope you dig!

Holy freakin' lord! THANK YOU! As someone who has been seriously considering penciling digitally, I really needed to see what the process was like. Thank you for that.

Amazing, amazing work as usual.

That is awesome, may I ask a question?

Off screen do you have your references? I'm assuming that you drew your ideas on paper before you started to draw them on the computer. Do you?

thanks~

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I know your a busy man but I earnestly want to know what your brush settings are for inking line art. I just can't find any good brushes to use to create crisp clean lines. Also the manner in which you create the lightening effects are amazing. How did you hollow out the brush strokes? I have a ton of questions I don't want to burden you. Thank you again for this, I don't need to say this but keep up the great work!

First off, I got the book today. I wasn't going to bother with the .1 books that run through the monthly books I get until I saw that you were doing art. Thanks for sharing the video, quite inspiring . What version Cintiq are you using? I'm looking to get a new wacom tablet since my old one won't work w/ my new system.

It amazes me that you are using an older version of photoshop considering so many digital artists are using the next best thing. Very interesting process. Why photoshop over other programs? What is the resolution you were working with? And how on earth did you know what your trim lines are at?

sorry for annoying, but I need to ask you;

what resolution and size do you use for a standard page?

I looked in Google and there's lot's of different answers to that question

thanks

Hey Mark, phenomenal work as always! Thanks for sharing this with us, would you mind telling us what brush settings you use for your pencil brush? I've never been able to recreate pencil like that in Photoshop, even though it's easy to emulate in Painter or Sketch Book Pro.
