ZADR fans aren't just blindly pairing together two characters solely because they're male, which is what most anti-ZADR fans believe, because they don't like to listen to the reasoning behind our choice, for they think we are evil demons sent from Hell to terrorize Jhonen...(Okay that may not be completely untrue, butttt....)
Anyway, our reason is because of the pure obsession they have over each other, even if it is a hateful obsession, but obsession, still. And there are many implications that you have to really squint to see.
This may not be such a super fantastic explanation, but at least no one can say 'there juss doin dis acus they liek f@ggs' or whatever those absolutely ridiculous homophobes say. *Sigh* I can understand not liking the pairing because you respect that Jhonen doesn't like it (which he said in an interview. xD But it was cleared up that it was a joke.) but flaming it simply because you don't like homosexuality is prejudice. And that isn't cool.
Well, anyway, just thought I'd put my little input!

You also managed to grab one reason I like ZaDR which I've actually put in a comment of mine ^^
But that's beside the point, the world isn't about ME. Some people DO simply like them because it's yaoi, and that's their choice, it doesn't mean that all of us ZaDR fans are like that, and it's good to see another one of us like that. I don't get to see them too often :3

Most of the many ZaDR fans I know like it because it's another Yaoi couple. Two of them like it because I act like both XD (It's a real inside joke) and then a tiny fraction of them like it for the same reason I do :3

Okay, I'm willing to buy that they're obsessed with each other, but I also believe they would never lose sight of the fact that it was hate.
It's not just z@dder I don't care for, although that gets most of the attention because it is by far the most widespread "R" in the IZ fandom. (BTW, I don't discriminate; I mean I REALLY don't discriminate: I think romance in all popular entertainment is vastly overdone. Just once I'd like to sit down to read a book or watch a movie without a needless romantic subplot. 
If I had to name my biggest problem with z@dder it's the fact that so much of it involves abuse and degradation. That most of it is directed against Dib is for me bad enough in and of itself, but I just don't see calling something R that looks THAT MUCH like its exact opposite. (That can be a dangerous way to think, if you know what I mean.)
The other variety, the fluff, just does not look like any Dib and Zim I know. To me it suggests being all jazzed up to watch a really good football game only to find the two teams seated on the gridiron and politely enjoying a Sunday school picnic instead.

I can understand every aspect of the reply you've given, and I'm a ZaDR fan myself. I must agree about the problem, I HATE it when people make a pic of abuse, slap some colour on it and call it ZaDR, no matter how good it is, LOVE doesn't mean ABUSE.
I can respect people who don't like ZaDR which is obvious considering I didn't leave you a "NU DER GR8 2GETHR!!!111ONEONEONEONEHUNDREDELEVEN!!" (God that made me die a little inside *shudder*) But I'm going to remain a fan :3 minus obsessing over drawing them :3

I completely agree, though I am hypocritical in saying this, considering I think, if they had a relationship, it would be more of a...sexual release for both of them (Since they're both equally disliked by everyone who would consider this) rather than 'I suddenly love you' kind of thing. But I must say I don't completely dislike the fluff...though I'm not too big on drawing it myself. I've only done one IZ fluff flash, I'm pretty sure. *nod*
It is completely overdone in ANY fandom, but I have a weak heart, and I don't think anyone would be better for either of them. (Though I do support Zim and Scoodge, because of all the implications, especially in hobo 13, and the fact that, if the show continued, Scoodge was supposed to move in with Zim and help him. Since Scoodge really doesn't seem all too dangerous (although he conquered Vort) I was curious on how it would work out. xD
I hadn't read your fic, but I did just now, and I must say you are a very VERY descriptive writer. I like how when Zim was watching the television you didn't just say 'cross' but you said 'intersecting lines' which was how ZIM saw it, not the reader. It was very good, and made me laugh. Writing a ZADR fanfic would be difficult, that's why I have never written one, and most of them are just horrible. I think it might be impossible, in fact. Whereas in drawing you just slap something together and everyone loves it because of the visual and that it has ZADR (or in most cases) anti-ZADR.

Most people I've tried having a small discussion on the subject end up yelling and calling me stupid or tell me that Jhonen would hate me (I've already accepted the fact that he probably would if he knew me, for more reasons than one. xD)
