Yay! At long last, I've got another issue of Quarter Circle Punch up. Ah, my money maker. Now I'm not choosing sides here, as both systems are out of my price range at the moment, but I took a look at the PS3 advertisements on youtube the other day. And I can upon this one. [link]It's basically 2 minutes and 12 seconds of BS and bragging. then ending off by posing the question- is the PS3 smarter than you? Really now, it's a video game system. I personally won't care if everything looks like they claim it will, as long as the games are fun to play.

That is purely awesome...but you know what pisses me off? tha fact that when I show MY comics to people, they read them with no emotion...when the comic is ten times better if you read it as it should be read...as it is happening...then, only then will they truely understand ALL of the awesomeness of th comic...but that's just my...your comics really cool!

my friend is selling his wii cause is a crap, the controllers are made of a bad quality, the games are so dumbs and the crappy graphics are just like the odd Cube. $150, ANY ONE?

I'm am totally buying myself a Wii after Christmas for the sole purpose of playing Zelda: Twilight Princess. Smartest move Nintendo has ever made, making a big budget Zelda game a launch title.

Good God that's funny. I really enjoy it. The art style is just fantastic. Wii looks like it's about to... I don't know what a Wii would do if it was scared, but it looks like it's about to do whatever it would do. The background could use a bit... of just about anything. I can see that you wanted to focus on the systems, of course, but backgrounds are important.

It's like a freaking religious war where I am: PS3 vs. Wii! Who will be the victor?? Which will seduce more teenaged guys to spend their hard-earned money?? WHO will win the hall fights the respective adherents of PS3ism and Wiiism stage more and more fiercely as the days go on?????

here's my predictions- Unless the PS3 gets a butt load of must have titles and/or gets a major price cut, I can see it going the way of the 3DO. The Wii will almost be entirely supported by first party games (just like every Nintendo console) so regardless of who popular it is, you can expect a Mario title released every 2.5 seconds. And the 360 just might follow the same fate as the Dreamcast.

I haven't seen a larger collaboration of Nintendo fans since... um... the Wii line-up. Seriously, though, Sony's not the first company to use dumb advertizing (Macintosh is for steers and queers). And look at the Wii commercials. Two guys driving around passing around a vibrator. Fascinating.
Since I spy the makings of another fanboy hide-out, I might as wel throw out some console facts:
PS3 is not as powerful as Sony makes it out to be, though it's damn close. The Wii's control isn't that amazing. None of the games I've tried mimick exact movement, which is what I wanted. As of right now, PS3 is the most powerful console, with XB360 in second place followed by a distant Wii.
What's that? Wii wins for originality of gameplay? Nope. Real winer? CD-i. Look it up, kiddies, it's a system back in the mid-90's that used a remote control *gasp* just like the Wii. What's this? NINTENDO EVER SPONSORED THEM WITH 3 ZELDA GAMES?! That's right, peoples, Nintendo's biggest skeleton in the closet is the CD-i, which remains locked deep in their vaults away from the fandoms' eyes.
Keep in mind I am a GAMER, people, not a console fanboy. I plan on owning al next-gens, not just my favorite, but it never hurts to laugh at fanboyism.

I'm not one of those "fanboys," but I gotta get this off my chest.
I have played all three next-gen consoles, and the only one out of the three that I liked was the Wii. While it may only have a small handful of good games right now, (Zelda: Twilight Princess, Sonic: Secret Rings, IMHO) and Nintendo needs more third-party titles, but the Wiimote offers a VERY much needed change of pace from what the Big M and the Big S have out.
Seems to me, that a lot of the gaming hardware/software coming out in general has become repetitive, crappy, and boring, They're focusing too much on graphics, (screw HD, I don't need it) the extra features, (my PC can play DVDs and access the Net just fine, thank you) and most notiecably, they often copy each other's ideas! There's very little creativity and originality to be found in the industry these days. The previous-gen consoles in my opinion were better.
For the most part, the next-gen systems have been a real letdown for me. The 360 has virtually nothing good in its library save for Halo, Gears of War, Virtua Fighter 5, and Sonic Next-Gen. (Yep, I said it - Sonic. I am entitled to my opinion.)
The PS3, well... that piece of crap totally sucks. But who knows, the game lineups for the three systems just may improve with time. Never say die, right?
I also notice that a lot of people worry about how powerful a console is, and what it can do besides play games, and whether or not its games are "kiddie" or "mature." Sure, online play is nice, and so is HD support, and Internet access, and Blu-Ray, and all that other stuff, but that's not the most important part of the console. What really matters is the software, the games. If a console has lots of good games, then it doesn't matter whether or not it supports HD or goes online or whatever.
And just so you know, I have seen and played a lot of "kiddie" games that were actually good. Just because a game doesn't LOOK good to you doesn't mean that it ISN'T good. I learned that the hard way.
This is just me, but I miss the days when game systems didn't need all this extra stuff to compete in the market. Now they are basically pre-built stripped-down computers, and if you wanna soup them up, it'll cost you another big wad of cash. Back then, consoles had one thing that PCs didn't: stable ground. You didn't need upgrades or mods in order to do stuff with them.
And the biggest irony of it all, is that right now, as you read this post, all of Microsoft's, Sony's, and even Nintendo's big talk on hardware capability has been for nothing, because PC technology has long since become more advanced than the next-gen consoles. (Windows Vista just came out, and it looks even sharper than Win XP)
Unless the Big Three start to focus more on making games that are actually fun to play, then I see the game business going nowhere but down from here on out.
I don't want an all-in-one console. - I just wanna play games.

Not a fanboy, yet Wii-biased? I think not. I now own all three next-gens at this time, and I can safely say that the superior games lie on other consoles. The Gamecube version of Zelda: TP is much better than the Wii version, imho, largely due to the fact that it didn't try to make me look like a complete idiot playing it, and also because the Wii controls are nothing but a series of controller shakes- hardly harnessing the power the everyone says the Wiimote has. It's a lazy, last-minute Gamecube-to-Wii port that existed only for console sales.
As for a change of pace, not really so much a welcomed change, imho. It's like switching from motorcycling by the ocean (PS360) to bicycling in East LA (Wii). The only Wii title that did not make me want to take the thing back to Gamestop was Super Paper Mario, but that can only hold me until December, which is luckily the time Smash Bros releases. Meanwhile, it will collect dust, as my Ps3 is on pause with Ninja Gaiden Sigma as we speak. Also, those games to announced for XB360 that you like? Half of them are on Ps3. And Gears of War is pretty much a prototype for UT3, which is exclusive to Ps3 and PC until later next year. All that leaves is Halo, which is a story of overhype in itself, so I needn't even speak of it for it to defeat itself in an argument.
But what I find most disturbingly humorous about your post, EP, is when you state companies are copying each other and seem to imply that the Wii is exempt from this. Go research the CD-i, my friend. Nintendo knew full well what this machine was and what it did. There were 3 Zelda games on it, for crying out loud. This is one of Nintendo's darkest secrets, the Phillips CD-i, for this is where they stole the idea of the motion remote. It wasn't their idea. They stole it, and counted on nobody remembering Phillips flop in the game market.
Now I will one by one destroy your arguments:
HD support? If you don't have it, that's cool. If you do have it, guess what you get? HD SUPPORT.
Kiddie vs Mature titles? How old are you? Seriously? I think you can go without that next copy of Animal Crossing.
Blu-Ray will be needed down the line, whether or not people want to admit it. Maybe not for movies, but for games. They're only going to get bigger, and as GTA IV has proven, 8.5gb is NOT enough.
And finally, my favorite one, PCs being ahead of consoles? Maybe in terms of graphics, and maybe even in terms of processing power when compared to the XB360, but I'm sorry- No amount of wishing can make your computer as powerful as a Cell Processor. Not unless your PC has, omg, a Cell Processor.

That's a pretty frickin' funny comic, man. I'm not sure which I'd buy, but right now I'm leaning more towards the PS3, but only if it's backwards-compatible. I need to play my PS2 games, man! If not for that, I'd get whichever was cheaper, or neither one and just stick to the now-obsolete systems until these ones get down to a range I can afford.
That being said, I love the variation and insanity in the PS3's facial expressions. You really get the sense that that isn't the kind of guy you want to be near in case he goes totally nuts and starts killing people. The Wii just looks like he's waiting patiently for the rant to end so he can have his turn. It's great.

I've heard other things on Ganon's standing death, but never that XD Really, I thin kthe game was good but a little too easy to beat, though a few of the bosses are very memorable. Stalord and the darknuts became massivelt popular bad guys XD I still like it, but of course, I've been a hardcore 100% "Never turn on Zelda" fan, but that's just me XD

Being a completely single-minded Nintendo fan, the bragging of a PS3 makes me feel slightly indignant. Nevertheless, I must commend your artwork. It was entertaining as well. Although it would have been nice to see more variety in the Wii's facial expressions.
