Loistavaa työtä. Melko realistinen piirros.
Tykkään kasvojen yksityiskohdista ja lisäksi tuo paperin sävy sopii hyvin tähän.

Nyt kyllä minä häpeän näitä minun naamioitani, joita yksikseni nurkassa piirtelen...

SummaVeritas In reply to DieWalkyrie [2012-09-09 19:21:59 +0000 UTC]

I should try that, my coloring is so flat... I just need to get the best tools.

Actually, you just reminde me of the time I used to shade things in violet... I could try to improve that style, thanks for the advice!

DieWalkyrie In reply to SummaVeritas [2012-09-11 06:10:09 +0000 UTC]

Not actually, I use ordinary black colouring pencil or crayon.

You're welcome.

SummaVeritas In reply to DieWalkyrie [2012-09-11 20:15:39 +0000 UTC]

In the meantime, I uploaded the violet shaded stuff... and I don't like it. Crayons might be a good solution

DieWalkyrie In reply to SummaVeritas [2012-09-12 14:00:25 +0000 UTC]

Hmm maybe you should try a black pen or those crayons?

SummaVeritas In reply to DieWalkyrie [2012-09-12 19:32:39 +0000 UTC]

I'll look for my old crayons, but I must admit I don't really like using black pen: I stopped using it right after finishing the 100 themes.

I will, maybe I could try that on the commemorative drawing for September 18th, the anniversary of Geli's suicice

DieWalkyrie In reply to SummaVeritas [2012-09-16 08:08:02 +0000 UTC]

Yes, dark shadows would fit to it. It's so sad she made suicide.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SummaVeritas In reply to DieWalkyrie [2012-09-18 17:52:21 +0000 UTC]

It is sad, but it is far worse that her uncle's enemies used her sufference against him: his house keepers did even say he cried for Geli, as he returned home.

I finished the picture, but for some reason, I didn't shade it (again!) and it looks almost joyfull. Sometimes I wish I were thirteen again, then I would draw depressing, bloody stuff all the time. Sometimes, it's important drawing sad things too...

DieWalkyrie In reply to SummaVeritas [2012-09-21 10:37:57 +0000 UTC]

He surely sufferend from Geli's death. There's a movie, made by americans, where they say Adolf raped her.

I don't know if that's good to draw dark and bloody..

SummaVeritas In reply to DieWalkyrie [2012-10-03 19:29:04 +0000 UTC]

I knew that, it disgusts me tha way propaganda destroyed that poor girl: foreigner and even her own family (her cousin, William Patrick and his mother) said all kind of things about her, just to destroy her uncle, as if they couldn't see she was a human being herself, before an important person's illfated relative.

I think it is good drawing all kind of things, to express all of our emotions. For some reason, I like drawing happiness, even when I feel sad. Maybe, it is my way to escape sadness

DieWalkyrie In reply to SummaVeritas [2012-10-04 12:59:20 +0000 UTC]

I agree, it's just too cruel what they did. It's scary what humans can do just to hurt other.

And that's a good way to do it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SummaVeritas In reply to DieWalkyrie [2012-10-12 19:07:52 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Humans are real cowards: in Adolf's case, hie enemies were probably happy that poor Geli had died in such a terrible way.

As she meant a lot to her uncle, they used this feeling against him, it wa very easy doing it and people would believe it.

I studied a lot of ancient mythology and the idea of the evil leader raping and possibly leading ot suicide an innocent girl is a cliqué ever since Ancient Greece: it seems clear to me that Hitler's enemies just took an old stereotype to their days and it worked well... it is very sad.

DieWalkyrie In reply to SummaVeritas [2012-10-13 08:00:59 +0000 UTC]

It must have hurt Adolf really much, first Geli's suicide and then all those lies. No wonder he didn't want to marry another woman.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SummaVeritas In reply to DieWalkyrie [2012-10-13 22:54:45 +0000 UTC]

...until the very end, just before dying together, for such lies not to be repeated ever again. And they actually didn't.

Sadly, that did also allow people to declare he had never ever loved Geli, with I do not believe to be true. A person can fall in love many times across their life, in different ways, but love is always love, no matter what.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DieWalkyrie In reply to SummaVeritas [2012-10-14 08:37:11 +0000 UTC]

That's unfortunately true.

I agree with you, and he had affairs before Eva. But I'm sure that he loved Geli. Maybe not as his beloved, but at least as her niece. That's one fact any lies can't destroy.
