3 panels? It's like being on vacation!To be fair, every pony comic is like a vacation, seeing as they're for my amusement, but you know what I mean.
Chrysalis understands what makes for a popular villain. If they thought Shining Armor's love made her powerful, wait until they see her after feeding on our Brony love all summer. It was her plan all along.
And a tree is the appropriate place for a chrysalis after all.
Edit: Is anyone having trouble understanding Chrysalis' text? Should I change it to a more normal font?

Sounds like William needs to read the evil overlord's handbook...
And Chrysalis' isn't too hard to read, it might be simpler if you used a normal font and just put a shadow on it to mimic the reverb thing her voice does.

Chrysalis is actually right, in a roundabout way. Ponyville is just too small to be a viable target. The changeling population was big enough to overwhelm the defenses of Equestria's capital - there's no way a small town like Ponyville can feed them for any length of time. They either need to hit a major population center, or scatter all over Equestria and leave themselves vulnerable to counterattack.

I believe the whole point of targeting Canterlot was to take out the capital and the military. If she just sent her army to attack any random target Celestia would know what the threat is and send her military or maybe just go herself. It was much easier (and safer) to infiltrate Canterlot in secret, Chrysalis probably planned to take Celestia out in the confusion of the attack but had to alter her plans when she was outed.

She ain't feeding on my 'brony love'. She's a good villain and all, but being a cross of a Black Widow spider and wasp - both of which I hold a grudge against - and also trying to wipe out the entire pony race doesn't exactly earn my admiration.

I find Chrysalis' text slightly hard to read, but not bad. It takes a bit of effort, but isn't actually difficult. Fun comic; Chrysalis is a textbook villain.
