Form 22 November 2014, back when I was still actively working with and building up my own personal collection of classic Star Trek franchise CG models, comes my own take on the uprated TMP era Federation class dreadnought as depicted in the various fan works of acclaimed fan tech experts Todd Gunther and Aridas Sofia (Federation Size Comparison Chart, Federation Reference Series, The Ships of the Star Fleet, et al). I never did finish tweaking this to make it more accurate per the fan schematics. The main saucer support pylon needs to be extended further aft, for example, and the aft end of the bridge should have two docking ports per the schema instead of just one. I'm guessing there's probably a better and more accurate CG model out there by now ... or if not, then perhaps this image will inspire somebody else to do one. Maybe. Maybe not. Oh, well. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the image, fellow classic Trek fans.
