Description

There was for the longest time a fan myth concerning Mary, the subject of the unreleased "Streets of Raccoon City" scenario from the Resident Evil Outbreak series. It stated that Mary was actually a member of one of the UBCS teams that had been sent into Raccoon City, that she had grown to hate working for Umbrella and took the opportunity to shuck her clothes and gear and change into civvie duds in an effort to escape amid the confusion of the T-virus Outbreak, and that it was the job of Mac's UBCS team to literally hunt her down and deal with her. Sound preposterous? Perhaps, but it was taken as gratis at the time. Like a lot of other Resident Evil fan myths it turned out to be just that - a myth - and its origins can be traced to faulty fan translations of early Japanese video game magazine coverage of what was then known as Biohazard Network, or Resident Evil Network here in the states.

I created this custom model of Mary in UBCS gear back when I was doing all of those hand rigs of all of those Outbreak series character and zombie models partly in tribute to that myth, and partly so those fans who still liked the idea could actually have some fun with it. I had a little fun with it myself, as you can see in some of my Outbreak series digital art from that time ....
