Ported to OBJ from the retail quality model created by Erwin Welker for Microsoft's Flight Simulator X (FSX). Preview picture posed in XNALara XPS. NO MODEL DOWNLOAD.

SS Hjejlen (Danish for "gloven plover") is one of the world's oldest operational paddle-wheel steamships. She was built in Denmark in 1861 and has been plying the waters between Silkeborg and Himmelbjerget ever since (through Denmark's Lakeland region), mainly as a tourist excursion vessel but also as a public mail boat (since 1932), on a yearly seasonal basis. She celebrated her 150th anniversary in 2011 with no less a distinguished visitor than Queen Margrethe II of Denmark present, and a commemorative coin was also struck in honor of said anniversary. She has a top speed of eight knots, operates with a crew of four, and can carry up to 165 passengers. A unique vessel in modern times, today she is not only one of Denmark's chief tourist attractions but one of Europe's as a whole as well. Her spiritual cousin across the Channel is PS Waverley of England, a more modern paddle-wheel vessel originally built in 1946 ... but her story is best dealt with elsewhere. This is a beautiful little model that looks great for its poly count - which defintely won't kill either you or your computer (grin). Another feather in the hat of master 3D model ship recreator Erwin Welker. He originally released it as freeware with no restrictions save that it couldn't be sold for profit, and it makes for a very unique and special addition to this collection.

This is not my model. All I did was port it to OBJ for you. Please credit Erwin Welker as the original creator if you use this in any of your own 3D projects. You do not have to credit me for my OBJ port.
