... we're both almost too old to enjoy it - Kimmy and her husband Ted used to run around a lot and go clubbing on the weekends back when they were in their mid-to-late twenties and still dating as established in the original Autumn Spring series. Both of them are now in their late forties or early fifties, and while both are still physically fit they've already gotten the first hints and advance signs of the onset of old age. It happens to everyone, sooner or later, and it's all because we're human and not eternally young. Your priorities also change when you're older. I thought about going a bit more into detail about what Ted and Kimmy do together in their free time now that they're older "empty nesters" (like Mama and Rufus Nelson in the original Autumn Spring), but at the end I thought it would be best to leave that to your imaginations. At least we've found out Ted's paying a lot more attention to Kimmy in late middle age than he did in their younger days, so that's a good thing.

... given some of the things Ted wants to do now. - There's a wonderful comedy routine by comedian Bill Engvall on this very subject you should track down and listen to. Things like the older husband wanting to swing from the chandelier or do some really freaky things in bed while the older wife is quietly but politely insisting, "I can't do that ...."

Some tales are best left untold. - A pregnant statement if there ever was one where the younger Brandy was concerned. XD

Is she still dyeing her hair and wearing a pound of makeup to keep from looking old? - Which is why Kerry looks very much like she did in the original Autumn Spring save for her bobbed haircut and somewhat different hair color (the dye). Also, keeping up appearances is very much part of the business that Kerry is in. Talk amongst yourselves.
