Description
Father John Joseph Reid and Father Lawrence Turner are Catholic priest that fell in love with each other and married in Massachusetts. They now preside over the New Devine Mercy Catholic Communities. The opening statement of their website is listed below. In imitation of Jesus Christ, we welcome all people to worship and celebrate God's all-inclusive love with us. Whoever you are, where ever you are in your life, we thank you for choosing to be here with us today. Our Mission: To Extend God's Kingdom of Justice, Truth, Love and Peace. [link]
More than 1,000 people attended a rally at Fort Lauderdale City Hall protesting the passage of Amendment 2 in Florida and Proposition 8 in California, which discriminates against LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender/transsexual ) people in The United States of America.
The protests were part of the βJoin the Impactβ [link] campaign to have a synchronized reaction of outrage across the country because of the passage of laws in Arizona, California and Florida defining marriage as an institution between a man and a woman only.
Proposition 8 in California and Amendment 2 in Florida have become a symbol of the struggle for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender rights. It is also argued the laws will restrict rights to heterosexuals who are domestic partners and not married.

Also, it's sad to see how many deviants are displaying their true feelings about homosexuality.

This is interesting on so many levels.
It seems like, to my understanding, these priests are breaking more than just one taboo. Very powerful image, with an interesting backstory.

i think the thing i like best about this is how much incredible tension and conflict this creates, which automatically makes any piece of art incredible.
i also hope that proposition hate gets reversed... i can't stand pointless and blatant descrimination or hate towards anyone.

This photo has started quite the controversial debate. Congratulations, the best kind of art is that which makes people think. Or at least I like to think so.
Anyway, it's a great capture.

what the hell is wrong with you?
its their right.
its not something for you to discriminate against.
they have choices, as do you.
just because they're different, doesn't mean you should hate on them for it.

Haha, a "your mom" offense. Never gets old.
FYI she's at Satan's at the moment, giving, uhhh... "Bowjobs" or something like that. She still has a date with Buddha, some random asian guy, so she's going to come home late. Hitler is not a big enough pimp to get her attention though .

Good for them ^-^
I view marriage as the joining together of two people who love each other unconditionally. Not just joining of a man and a woman we need our right too. It sucks having to hide who you are for fear that someone will beat you up...or even kill you *shudders*

I love it! If only more Catholics were like those two priests, it would be better.
A lot of people both in and out of California don't really know what Prop 8 does. Not only does it ban gay and lesbian marriage, but it calls for an entire re-writing of the California constitution, so that it says that gay and lesbian marriage is illegal. Hopefully it goes to the Supreme Court and they rule against it though.

Wow! I've heard and seen a lot of terrible things done by Catholics in the name of God, especially against the LGBT community. What a statement...this is a wonderful photo, and congrats to Father Jhohn and Father Lawrence for their courage. They're right; God loves everyone, and everyone has the right to love.

Two male Catholic priests getting married? It's like two Jewish pigs enjoying mutual cannibalism.
It's grotesque because it's so absurd the word absurd seems perfectly sensible in comparison.

Although, your comparison made me laugh.
