Description
This is Philo, formerly the dragon I drew with a guitar a long, long time ago. I decided to go back to that character design and breathe some life into it. And by "breathe life into", of course I really mean, "create surreal yet strangely mundane back history for."The GIMP.

I like his horns! I feel that his eyes are seeing something that I cannot see.

I loved this guy when you drew him with the guitar, so I'm happy to see you doing some more with him.

If I might be so bold, may we hear a little of this surreal but strangely mundane backstory?

His mother may or may not have been a stract, a type of creature created when someone pretends something is there and magic takes that as instructions for creating that thing. She never spoke, and she visited Philo's father only once every few months, and he never found out anything about her. One of these visits she handed him a baby and left again.
His mother's influence gave him an intense rush of energy when he did things for people to make them happy. He spent most of his youth failing school because all the unhappy people around him sucked the energy out of him and he kept trying to make other students laugh.
He grew out of this a little, but still needed an outlet for making other people happy. He discovered music, but that's not a steady source of income. Then he discovered in-home care, (think like a nurse), and he was sold. And that, is the back history of Philo, more or less.

Charming! The idea of the Stracts is really a great one, After seems similarly interesting.
