This is where I was going for part 2. I didn't like it overall, so if I ever end up continuing that comic it'll likely be different.I might even scrap Part 1, or at least redraw/repaint it. It's pretty terrible looking honestly.
And this was cut from the cut because shooting a missile that close to a friendly probably wouldn't play out very well:
