Description
This is a character I made for a part of my Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles Neo story that is a part of an original crossover universe containing Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers and several different Marvel Comics based series.This is my version of Irma Langinstein, a character from the first Ninja turtles cartoon who was April O'Neil's human friend and Co-worker at Channel 6, but also served as a klutzy, awkward comic relief. She was one of the few humans who knew of and accepted the Turtles existence, having met them through April.
In TMNT Neo, Irma is once more a co-worker of April O'Neil,
but is much younger, serving as a student intern at the Daily Bugle. Irma idolizes the brave investigative journalist and her integrity, and often offers her support to April and her photographer Peter Parker. Eventually when trying to accompany April on a story, she sees April with the Turtles and is quick to try and befriend the strange turtles, thinking them intriguing rather then frightening, and seeing that April is friendly with them, concludes that they must not be dangerous. From then on, Irma is welcomed as a friend of the Turtles during casual gatherings, though they don't condone her coming along on dangerous missions. Being closer to her age, Irma becomes friends with Angel who she meets when hanging out with the turtles, being closer to her age then April's. She is also friends with Peter Parker, but only hang out with him at work, as she doesn't go to the same school as him.

Poor Irma's gotten so much bad treatment over the years

Yeah, it was kind of dumb what they did to her in the newer show, she was actually pretty cool until they revealed her to be Kraang Subprime. The fact that she was based on an Utrom design rather than a real person that the Kraang replaced was a little disappointing, as I was hoping that Subprime just replaced Irma rather than was her all along. I still think she's a pretty neat character however.

One of my favorite Irma episodes is "Attack of the 50 Foot Irma".

Hmm, yeah, that was kind of interesting. I remember their was one episode where she thought she gained super powers, but it was only because her costume was magnetized.
I kind of think it sucks what they did with Irma on the new show, secretly being Kraang Sub-Prime. I am kind of hoping their is a real Irma out there, and that Sub-Prime just replaced and impersonated her. We might not have ever seen the real Irma in person, but I kind of think it was the real Irma who called April in 'Mousers Attack', as it seems odd to me that Kraang Sub-Prime was already undercover before the Kraang's initial invasion with the Technodrome during the first season finale.
I kind of hope when they finally kick the Kraang out of New York, they find the real Irma somewhere in stasis alongside other people they might have captured.

Thanks, glad you like her. Tried to make a less geeky, younger version of her and I think this works.
Yes, it would be nice if Irma were to show up on the 2012 show. I do indeed like her Cameo in Mousers Attack on the phone, and hope they make something of it. My anticipation of that is why I chose to make my Irma younger, despite making my April older (if I realized what a neat idea it was to have April as a teen, I might have done that fore this story as well).
