Description
This is a picture I made for my TMNT/Power Rangers/Marvel universe crossover fiction.
This is a lesser known character, Aska, a character only seen on the SNES version of the video game TMNT: Tournament Fighter, though one still with major popularity. Aska is a modern female Ninja, though one not associated with one of the established clans like the Foot or Wind academy. Aska is a skilled warrior, and her preferred weapon is the Kunai, though she uses it in Melee rather than for throwing, thus it is larger than those commonly seen as thrown weapons. She is a master of Wind based Jutsus, and many of her attacks manifest images of cherry blossoms and butterflies made of light.
Aska was first met by the Turtles when they encountered her in the Battle Nexus tournament. She was hoping to prove her worth as a Ninja against some of the more powerful warriors recognized by the Nexus, but lost to the Deceptively strong Rat King in one of the later rounds.
She later teamed with the Turtles and other warriors to defeat Cyber-Shredder when he teamed with Drago and The Damiyo's Son to steal the Damiyo's Warstaff in an attempt to wield it's massive interdimensional power.
Later on, she teams up with the Turtles in Japan as part of a large group of Ninjas to defeat the original Foot Clan when they begin to conjure powerful demons and use other dark magics.
It is eventually revealed Aska is a descendant of Mitsu, a Japanese female rebel leader who lead a rebellion against the Damiyo Norunaga, falling in love with his son Kenshin.
When displaced by an out of control Time Sceptre, the Turtles meet Mistu and get involved in the rebellion while trying to get back home. When they meet Aska at the Battle Nexus, they are quick to notice the striking family resemblance to Mitsu. Though descended from Mistu on her father's side, Mitsu's mother was of Western decent, as she displays biracial traits. Aska's preferred battle outfit is a white gi top over a red leotard, though I also drew her here in just the leotard.
