Description This is a photo I took at the new Ripley's Aquarium of Canada in downtown Toronto, from a trip I took in Early November.
This is a photo of a fossil replica of a Xiphactinus, a prehistoric bony fish from the Cretaceous, and a skeleton of a baleen whale, likely a humpback, but it wasn't labeled. Both skeletons hung by the Entrance.

Yes, definitely unlike any living fish it would seem, quite the fearsome prehistoric fish. does your fascination with animals extend to long extinct ones, or just to the living? Just want to know in the future in case I decide to go there in the future.

Definitely! Although some people might dislike their body structure or facial appearance, I personally kinda like it. There's a twisted kind of regalness to them, they're beautiful in the way a barracuda or a large shark is beautiful. They've got nothing next to Dunkleosteus though. Well, I'm really interested in both to be honest, but in living more so, and I also know a lot more about the living I still find it interesting to imagine some prehistoric creatures though, and catch up on the latest updates on paleo-stuff.

Well, they definitely had a fearsome looking face. It would probably been more deadly than any living bony fish. Yes, Dunkleoseus was a pretty scary fish though, with those huge cutting blades in its mouth, one of the most frightening fish to live beyond Megalodon and other titanic sharks. It was definitely one of the first true terrors of the oceans.
Yeah, good to know, just wondering in case I decide to bring up a prehistoric relative of a modern creature in comparison when talking about a modern one. I just wanted to know if I'd have your interest or not. If y ou're interested, there is another folder of mine about Dinosaurs, Prehistoric mammals and such, but it is devoted to all sorts, including speculative creations of mine, and those in a fandom, like Godzilla, Yoshi, etc, but it also has lots of pics of fossils from the ROM, including a special exhibit you probably missed.
