Description
UPDATE: i finall fixed the light problem that this had. The new thing is the blue lit part of the upper planet. Funny that it took me over a year to decide to fix itFull View Highly Recommended, as usual.
So here it is, the final version of Cosmic Daylight.
As many of you can see, this one includes my two styles of Science Fiction graphics: the realistic one, and the not-so-realistic one.
What i dont like about it: considering that im no master when it comes to 3d modeling, i think that the satellite isnt that impressive. but still think that its not too shabby, and its a nice addition to the whole piece.
im also not very happy with the blue planet. i really need to learn to map (texturize) a bit better, but i think it looks better than plain blue ball (No, those arent clouds, thats ice on the surface, btw).
I think particle systems are fun, and i thank *agarash for teaching me the basics.

I took a few suggestions from the Close Up i submitted about a week ago:
change the shadow in the (red) planet: done
more color to the whole piece: done
more stars: done
so thats it for now, i really enjoyed making this, i got to experiment with a lot of settings, which is the only way to learn and have fun with graphics.
Now i know what to apply for my next work

Alright i believe that i need to explain a bit about the "satellite"
its not a satellite, its a deep space telescope.
we all know that satellites done have boosters like that, but who said that this picture is supposed to be realistic?
also........the "satellite" is going to go through some rough area ahead.....full of rocks.
also it helps balance the colors a little, and it brings some more attention to it.

Man!! Fantastic work, probably the first thing that struck me was the color. So you adding it must have been a positive it very well balanced and the red and blue so contrasting but ya did it, and that "satellite" (did someone give you a hard time about it? Bah! lol sheesh!) you are right it really helps to even things out and it does look very good!
...Oh man just beautiful, looking at it again. So many things I like about this.

looks dead on to me. One thing I dont like about this composition is that both planets are eclipsing a -large- star. Kinda throws the focus off a bit I believe, BUT ...i do like how the respective flare matches the color of its eclipsing planet Love the floating space rock and I do enjoy the telescope

Oooooohh....
Your work is so amazing!
This has more depth than most of the space pictures.
And the planets atmosphere is so real.
Really awsome job !

The "rocks" in space actually lok more like space debris, garbage from satellites and rockets made by men.
Damn cool picture.

2 stars. *could* they be that close?
cause only stars shine, right?
(that took me a while to figure out)
i like the placement of the rocks closer to the viewer, but the ones that are far away seem to be too neat.
and the little metal thingie is just cute.
